2026 36 Under 36 Tech Innovators

36Kr noted that intuition, speed, and a nose for user pain points were once the weapons of business. They still work, but another grammar of entrepreneurship has layered on top. Now, more and more people are coming to the table with papers, models, experimental data, hardware blueprints, and industrial customers. Entrepreneurship is no longer just a competition of business instincts — it has also become a battle over how fast knowledge structures can migrate. The average age of this year's Under 36 honorees is about 33. In terms of education, PhDs and current doctoral students account for more than half of all entrepreneurs and tech innovators, an unprecedented proportion in Under 36 history. On the technology front, AI and robotics combined cover over 70% of honorees. The remaining directions are scattered across new energy, healthcare, quantum computing, and smart vehicles. Nearly half of the selected companies are involved in overseas markets or global expansion in their business operations.
