01/ Future Intelligent Raises Tens of Millions of RMB in Pre-A+ Round, Co-Led by Qiming Venture Partners

On April 22, Future Intelligent announced the completion of a Pre-A+ round of tens of millions of RMB, co-led by Qiming Venture Partners. The funding will be primarily directed toward overseas market expansion and innovative R&D on product form factors. Founded in 2021, Future Intelligent focuses on AI-powered office hardware and scenario-based innovation. Its core product is the iFLYBUDS series of iFlytek AI meeting earbuds, which combine the company's self-developed viaim AI brain with earbud hardware to deliver practical AI functions including recording and transcription, summarization, to-do extraction, AI Q&A, simultaneous interpretation, and AI voice replacement — addressing pain points in workplace meeting efficiency and reshaping how people work.

Just this past January, Future Intelligent completed a Pre-A round of tens of millions of RMB. Securing two rounds of funding within just three months reflects not only market consensus on the long-term value of AI hardware, but also demonstrates that Future Intelligent's dual moats in scenario capture and commercialization have begun to take shape.

Our core reason for investing in Future Intelligent is that its products precisely target the business meeting scenario, naturally combining AI technology with earbud hardware. That said, the overall earbud market is not a blue ocean; strong competitors abound. In the +AI direction, well-cultivated user habits and a very large user base, combined with good enough products and sufficiently focused niche scenarios, are enough to support an outstanding hardware company. We hope Future Intelligent can first thoroughly penetrate its scenario, meet the needs of its niche audience, and build a solid moat in the vertical track of business meetings. On that foundation, it can extend from its niche scenarios, forming word-of-mouth spillover through ultra-high penetration rates, and achieve the leap from vertical scenarios to generalized demand — developing into a nationally and even globally recognized brand."

02/ Zhipu AI Receives Additional Investment of 200 Million RMB

Recently, Zhipu AI, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, received an additional investment of 200 million RMB. The funding will support open-source model R&D and open-source community ecosystem building.

Zhipu AI's practical efforts to advance the open-source ecosystem are gaining increasing recognition. The company previously announced 2025 as its "Open Source Year." To further promote open-source ecosystem development through concrete action, Zhipu AI — together with ecosystem partners — launched the Z Fund with 300 million RMB to support AI open-source communities globally. Any startup based on open-source models (not limited to Zhipu AI's own open-source models) can apply.

Zhipu AI remains committed to making AI accessible to all. In 2023, it open-sourced ChatGLM-6B, China's first Chat-style large model, which attracted over 10 million downloads in a short time. Over nearly six years since its founding, Zhipu AI has open-sourced more than 55 models, with cumulative downloads in international open-source communities approaching 40 million. In its 2025 Open Source Year, Zhipu AI has successively open-sourced CogView4, the first open-source text-to-image model supporting Chinese character generation, as well as its latest 32B/9B GLM series including base models, reasoning models, and contemplation models.

01/ Hesai Technology Powers Official Launch of ZEEKR 007GT

Recently, the ZEEKR 007GT — the first model from ZEEKR Technology Group equipped with lidar from Hesai Technology (NASDAQ: HSAI), a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company — was officially launched.

The ZEEKR 007GT's core perception sensor uses Hesai Technology's new-generation compact ultra-high-definition long-range lidar, the ATX. In terms of performance, the ATX incorporates the company's most advanced fourth-generation chip architecture, with fully upgraded optical-mechanical design and laser transceiver modules — achieving a combination of compact form factor and powerful performance that has won favor among major OEMs. Since its launch, the Hesai Technology ATX has received design wins for dozens of mass-production models from 11 leading domestic and international OEMs, with large-scale mass production and delivery beginning in Q1.

02/ Hesai Technology Powers DiDi Autonomous Driving and GAC's Collaborative L4 Vehicle

Recently, DiDi Autonomous Driving and GAC collaborated to launch their first L4 vehicle, equipped with four AT128 long-range perception lidar units from Hesai Technology (NASDAQ: HSAI), a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, with planned mass production and delivery by the end of 2025.

In the collaboration between DiDi Autonomous Driving and GAC, the Hesai Technology AT128 has become a key "perception asset" for ensuring travel safety thanks to its outstanding performance. The AT128 is an automotive-grade 120° ultra-high-definition long-range lidar with 200-meter ultra-long ranging capability and over 1.53 million points per second, capturing rich and complete object detail. Its ultra-high global resolution of 1200×128 ensures that vehicles can accurately identify distant obstacles in complex road conditions and make decisions in advance.

03/ China Mobile Partners with Biren Technology and Others to Release Integrated AI Computing Appliance

During the 2025 China Mobile Cloud & Intelligence Computing Conference, China Mobile — together with Biren Technology, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, and other partners — officially released the "China Mobile Integrated AI Computing Appliance," helping enterprise customers rapidly build personalized AI applications.

Designed with the philosophy of "hardware as foundation, software as core," the product features Biren Technology as a participating GPU computing provider. It comes pre-installed with mature DeepSeek models and intelligent agents, enabling out-of-the-box deployment and providing enterprise customers with private, secure, stable, efficient, and easy-to-use intelligent engine services.

04/ Berry Genomics Subsidiary Signs Framework Agreement for Technology Transfer with Beijing Children's Hospital

Recently, Berry Genomics (000710.SZ), a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary Beijing Berry Genomics Biotechnology Co., Ltd. has signed a project technology transfer cooperation framework agreement with Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University.

In November 2022, both parties jointly applied for the "Capital Clinical Characteristic Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Research and Transformation Application" project under the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission and the Administrative Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park, specifically the "Research and Product Development of Key Technologies for Early Screening and Diagnosis of Functional Birth Defects in Newborns" topic, and undertook the task of translating project results into applications. The two parties have reached a cooperation framework agreement to advance the clinical translation and commercial application of project outcomes.

05/ Insilico Medicine and Hisun Pharmaceutical Enter Strategic Partnership

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Insilico Medicine entered into a strategic partnership with Hisun Pharmaceutical. The two parties will leverage their respective strengths to carry out AI-driven innovative drug discovery and development cooperation.

06/ Mabwell Biotech and DeepWise Enter Strategic Partnership

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company DeepWise and Mabwell Biotech announced a strategic partnership. The two parties will fully leverage their respective advantages in biologics R&D and AI large models, collaborating on knowledge engine construction and innovative target exploration to jointly build a biologics R&D large model platform and establish a new paradigm for innovative drug discovery.

DeepWise's self-developed Uni-SMART scientific literature large model comprehensively considers multimodal elements in scientific literature, including figures, mathematical equations, molecular structure representations, and chemical reaction equations. It employs multimodal alignment technology to achieve more comprehensive and precise understanding of scientific literature. Leveraging the Uni-SMART scientific literature large model, the two parties will build a biologics R&D knowledge engine, enabling precise intelligent screening of scientific literature, identification and extraction of multimodal elements, and comprehensive, in-depth analysis and interpretation — thereby constructing a rich and reliable target database, significantly enhancing research efficiency, and accelerating analysis and R&D processes.

RiDYMO® is DeepWise's AI for Science-based high-quality Hit discovery platform, capable of unlocking the kinetic mechanisms of difficult-to-drug targets and exploring broader molecular chemical space. Its core algorithm, reinforced dynamics (RiD), can improve molecular simulation sampling efficiency by nearly a hundredfold, effectively capturing dynamic conformational changes in biomacromolecules. The collaboration will integrate Mabwell Biotech's ADC technology advantages with DeepWise's RiDYMO® platform strengths to jointly explore mechanism research on innovative targets and accelerate drug molecule discovery from zero to one.

07/ Anhui University of Science and Technology Precision Medicine Innovation Research Institute Adopts YanYin Technology's ZhiYan Cloud Platform

To accelerate scientific innovation and technology translation in precision medicine and enhance the team's digital intelligence capabilities, the Precision Medicine Innovation Research Institute at Anhui University of Science and Technology has formally adopted Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company YanYin Technology's ZhiYan Cloud Platform.

08/ Beijing Tongren Hospital Yizhuang Campus Adopts ZD Medical's D500 Dry Eye Detector

Recently, Beijing Tongren Hospital Yizhuang Campus adopted the D500 dry eye detector, independently developed by Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company ZD Medical.

At the clinical diagnosis level, the D500 leverages advanced technology to precisely quantify key dry eye indicators, breaking through the ambiguity and subjectivity of previous diagnostic methods and substantially improving the accuracy and speed of dry eye diagnosis. This enables clinicians to make more scientifically informed diagnostic decisions based on precise data, accurately selecting pharmacological and physical treatment approaches to effectively improve patients' quality of life and push dry eye clinical care to new heights.

R&D Progress

01/ The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health Publishes Latest Research Findings on ArkBio's Ziresovir

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company ArkBio announced that The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health, a top-tier international journal in child and adolescent health, has published online the Phase 3 clinical research results for ziresovir, the first RSV-specific antiviral drug. The paper, titled "Efficacy and safety of ziresovir in hospitalised infants aged 6 months or younger with respiratory syncytial virus infection in China: findings from a phase 3 randomised trial with 24-month follow-up," marks the second publication of this Phase 3 study in a globally renowned medical journal, following its initial publication in The New England Journal of Medicine in September 2024.

Current RSV infection treatment focuses primarily on symptom control. Ziresovir's efficacy provides clinicians with the first specific antiviral drug option. Especially for infants under six months — who face high risks of severe disease and have low immunity — selecting ziresovir to rapidly reduce viral load can effectively curb disease progression. Additionally, this trial is the first to demonstrate through long-term follow-up that ziresovir can reduce wheezing-related risks, with mechanisms potentially linked to viral load control and reduced inflammatory response. This finding not only expands the clinical value of antiviral drugs but also provides new directions for RSV-related chronic respiratory disease prevention and treatment strategies.

Professor Xin Ni, President of Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University, stated: "RSV infection represents a formidable challenge in pediatrics that has long lacked specific treatment options, not only seriously threatening infant health but also exacerbating the operational burden on pediatric healthcare resources. As the world's first Phase 3 clinical trial covering RSV-infected infants under six months of age, this study successfully fills the evidence gap for specific treatment approaches targeting this high-risk population, providing critical evidence for building comprehensive RSV disease management systems. The clinical translation of this achievement will transform the previous paradigm of passive supportive care and propel RSV diagnosis and treatment into a new era of precision medicine. Following the publication of core Phase 3 data in The New England Journal of Medicine last year, this in-depth analysis has again been accepted by The Lancet Child & Adolescent Health, fully demonstrating the international academic community's recognition of original Chinese clinical research. 02/ Belief BioMed's DMD Gene Therapy Drug BBM-D101 Injection Receives Clinical Trial Approval in China

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Belief BioMed announced that the clinical trial application (IND) for its Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) gene therapy drug BBM-D101 injection has been approved by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). With this approval, BBM-D101 injection has now received IND approvals in both China and the United States.

Dr. Xiao Xiao, co-founder, chairman, and chief scientist of Belief BioMed, said: "We are delighted to share the news that the clinical trial application for BBM-D101 injection has been approved in China. We thank the NMPA for its IND review and look forward to continuing our collaboration with regulators on clinical research. BBM-D101 injection has previously received FDA approval. Moving forward, we will accelerate clinical research with the goal of bringing a new treatment option to DMD patients as soon as possible."

This clinical trial is an open-label, single-dose study designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of intravenous infusion of BBM-D101 injection in boys with DMD aged 4-9. BBM-D101 utilizes an engineered capsid with higher muscle tissue delivery efficiency, and the proposed clinical dose is lower than that of similar AAV gene therapy products already approved abroad, with the expectation of favorable safety profile.

03/ Ruijin Hospital's Ultrasound Department Partners with VINNO to Publish Landmark Results in European Radiology

Recently, the Ultrasound Department of Ruijin Hospital, in collaboration with Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company VINNO, published for the first time in European Radiology its findings on super-resolution imaging of lymphatic sinuses.

This study demonstrates that Super-Resolution Ultrasound (SRUS) can achieve imaging of lymphatic sinus structure and flow characteristics at an unprecedented micrometer-scale resolution. Compared with conventional ultrasound, SRUS shows significant diagnostic advantages in preoperative detection and characterization of sentinel lymph nodes in breast cancer, and is expected to become a promising new imaging modality with strong clinical application potential.

04/ Inscinstech Supports Chinese Academy of Sciences Research Team in Elucidating Molecular Mechanisms of Energy Transfer During Chloroplast Endosymbiosis

Recently, a research team led by Fan Minrui at the Center for Excellence in Molecular Plant Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, in collaboration with teams from Westlake University (Wu Xudong), Fudan University (Zhang Jinru), and Zhejiang University (Su Nannan), published a research paper in the prestigious international journal Nature. 05/ M20 Genomics and Zhejiang University Jointly Develop Microbial Single-Cell RNA Sequencing Technology for Low Input Samples

Recently, the team at Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company M20 Genomics and a research team at Zhejiang University published an academic paper in the renowned journal Advanced Materials (impact factor: 27.4).

Based on the M20 Genomics VITA platform, the two teams jointly developed smGel-seq, a microbial single-cell RNA sequencing technology suitable for low-input samples. This technology uses soluble hydrogel microspheres to encapsulate bacteria for single-cell transcriptome experiments, significantly improving microbial recovery rates and reducing operational bias, thereby substantially lowering the required starting amount of microbial samples. This technology has been successfully applied to the analysis of intestinal and sputum samples, demonstrating high sensitivity and accuracy, and is expected to provide strong support for microbiome research and clinical diagnosis of related diseases.

06/ Wuhan Central Hospital Partners with Thorough Future at World Health Expo

Recently, Wuhan Central Hospital partnered with Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Thorough Future to participate in the 7th World Health Expo. Wuhan Central Hospital prominently showcased the application results of Thorough Future's Thorough Insights in clinical pathology-assisted diagnosis.

As the first medical institution in Hubei Province to deploy a clinical-grade pathology large model, the hospital has successfully completed system deployment of the Thorough Insights pathology large model product and officially put it into actual diagnostic work. Thorough Insights is built on Thorough Brain 2.0, massive high-precision pathology data training, and a self-developed distributed microservices inference architecture. In clinical pathology diagnosis, it supports intelligent analysis of pathology for multiple organs including stomach, intestine, lung, prostate, endometrium, cervix, breast, esophagus, pancreas, and lymph nodes, with diagnostic sensitivity approaching 100%, minimizing the risk of missed or misdiagnosis.

02/ Health BioMed's Steroid Hormone 5-Item Assay Kit Approved in China

Recently, the Steroid Hormone 5-Item Assay Kit (LC-MS/MS), independently developed by Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Health BioMed, officially received a Class II medical device registration certificate from China's National Medical Products Administration (registration number: Xiang Mechanical Registration 20252400314).

This breakthrough marks another important milestone for Health BioMed in the field of clinical mass spectrometry detection technology. The assay kit enables simultaneous detection of five key steroid hormones — testosterone (T), androstenedione (A4), dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEA-S), cortisol (COR), and 17α-hydroxyprogesterone (17-OHP) — precisely empowering core applications in auxiliary diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and adrenal disorders.

03/ Super-resolution Technology Unveils New Product at Chinese Society for Cell Biology 2025 National Academic Conference

At the Chinese Society for Cell Biology 2025 National Academic Conference, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company SuperView Technology unveiled multiple super-resolution microscopes and launched the Cell Xpanse live-cell wide-field full-time super-resolution microscope.

Cell Xpanse offers cross-scale imaging, deep optical sectioning, low phototoxicity, high imaging speed, high throughput, and machine intelligence. Combined with SuperView Technology's proprietary Spin-SACD multi-fluctuation spinning-disk confocal imaging method, it further enhances spinning-disk confocal spatial resolution without sacrificing field of view, dramatically expanding applications for large-field deep-sectioning imaging. 01/ Zhipu AI to Open-Source 32B/9B GLM Model Series and Launch Global Domain "Z.ai"

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Zhipu AI announced it will open-source its 32B/9B GLM model series, encompassing base, reasoning, and contemplation models, all under the MIT license. The series is now available for experience through the new platform Z.ai and has also been launched on Zhipu AI's MaaS platform.

Among these, the reasoning model GLM-Z1-32B-0414 delivers performance comparable to top-tier models like DeepSeek-R1, with measured inference speeds reaching 200 tokens/second on the MaaS platform bigmodel.cn — currently the fastest among commercial models in China. Its pricing is just 1/30th of DeepSeek-R1.

Additionally, Zhipu AI has activated the new domain Z.ai, which currently integrates three types of 32B GLM models: base, reasoning, and contemplation. Going forward, it will serve as the interactive experience portal for Zhipu AI's latest models.

02/ UBTECH Helps Tiangong Ultra Make History as World's First Humanoid Robot Marathon Champion

Recently, the world's first humanoid robot half-marathon champion was crowned at Beijing E-Town's National Information Technology Application Innovation Park. Tiangong Ultra, a full-size humanoid robot developed by the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center with Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company UBTECH (09880.HK) as a founding member and general manager unit, crossed the finish line first with an impressive time of 2 hours, 40 minutes, and 42 seconds over 21.0975 kilometers, winning the 2025 Beijing Yizhuang Humanoid Robot Half Marathon.

The champion Tiangong Ultra stands approximately 1.8 meters tall and weighs about 55 kg. This year, its speed has been increased from 6 km/h to a peak of 12 km/h. Equipped with the general embodied intelligence platform "Huisi Kaiwu" featuring "one brain, multiple capabilities" and "one brain, multiple robots," it has become smarter. Through efficient coordination between its embodied "big brain" and "small brain," Tiangong Ultra continuously optimizes strategy and adaptability, achieving high-precision control of coordinated joint movement to maintain body balance during sustained running. The robot features high-power integrated joints and low-inertia leg structure design for explosive running speed, along with lightweight construction. 03/ Lixue Xia of Infinigence AI Delivers Keynote at QbitAI China AIGC Industry Summit

At the China AIGC Industry Summit hosted by QbitAI, Lixue Xia, co-founder and CEO of Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Infinigence AI, delivered a keynote titled Computing Power Is Productivity: The Core Engine of Digital Intelligence Upgrade, analyzing how — amid exponentially growing demand for computing power — diverse heterogeneous computing integration, inference optimization acceleration, and creative development toolchains can drive the transition from computing power upgrade to capability upgrade.

Infinigence AI is actively building an open, collaborative computing power ecosystem platform. Addressing the industry pain point of fragmented domestic chips and isolated heterogeneous ecosystems in China's computing market, the company combines heterogeneous computing optimization integration with efficient scheduling solutions to deliver ready-to-use standardized computing services. To tackle performance bottlenecks in industry scenario services, it continues to deepen efficient inference for edge and cloud large models, improving large model deployment quality while increasing efficiency and reducing overall costs. 05/ HyperStrong Energy Storage Projects in Sweden and Germany Successfully Commissioned

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company HyperStrong (688411.SH) announced the successful commissioning of its frequency regulation energy storage project in Stockholm, Sweden and its energy storage power station project in Waltershausen, central Germany. With its outstanding system solutions and project execution efficiency, HyperStrong is injecting strong momentum into Europe's energy transition.

In May 2024, HyperStrong launched the Stockholm frequency regulation energy storage system project, providing grid-side frequency regulation services. Facing a complex multi-stakeholder communication structure, HyperStrong established a unified communication platform and designated clear points of contact to efficiently drive project implementation, completing acceptance in March 2025. Through this project, HyperStrong not only achieved a breakthrough in the Swedish market but also established an ongoing partnership with the client, with additional energy storage orders already in successive delivery and commissioning.

In May 2024, HyperStrong signed a supply contract with the client for the Waltershausen energy storage power station project in Germany. Leveraging efficient execution, the HyperStrong team completed project delivery in December 2024 and facilitated smooth grid connection in March 2025. The project adopts HyperStrong's flagship large-scale energy storage product, whose high performance strongly supports grid-side energy storage projects in power trading participation, serving as a model case for HyperStrong in the German energy storage market and laying a solid foundation for subsequent similar application projects.

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company YaoYing Medical held a Pan-Vascular Disease Center unveiling ceremony and academic seminar in Shanghai. The center will rely on a multidisciplinary team (MDT) model to build a comprehensive management platform covering cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, peripheral vascular diseases, and metabolic disorders.

YaoYing Medical founder and CEO Haoying Shi delivered the opening address, noting that pan-vascular diseases — chronic conditions that pose a severe threat to human health — have become a global focal point and strategic priority for their interdisciplinary, full-cycle diagnosis and treatment systems. YaoYing Medical has always been committed to providing patient-centered, high-quality medical services. DeepWise Announces Open-Source Release of Uni-Lab-OS Device Abstraction Layer

DeepWise founder and CSO Linfeng Zhang, who also serves as president of the AI for Science Institute, Beijing, previously unveiled Uni-Lab-OS to address the pain points of inefficient manual operations, isolated equipment, and fragmented data in traditional laboratories — pushing toward "AI scientists" capable of autonomously designing experiments to save researchers time and effort.
