Insilico Medicine and Partner Discover Potent WDR5-MYC Interaction Inhibitor

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Insilico Medicine and research partner Huadong Medicine announced that, using Insilico Medicine's innovative generative AI technology and physics-based molecular modeling modules, they successfully discovered novel small-molecule inhibitors potently targeting the WD repeat-containing protein 5 (WDR5)-MYC protein-protein interaction. The research was published in Chemical Biology & Drug Design.

In this study, the team first used the generative AI-driven Chemistry42 platform to generate small-molecule inhibitors targeting WDR5, then applied ligand-based molecular generation technology incorporating anchor information to preserve key pharmacophores, ultimately discovering compound 8 (IC50=16.35μM) and compound 9 (IC50=1.91μM). Both compounds showed significantly improved inhibitory activity compared to the reference compound (IC50=20.86μM). Next, with support from AlChemistry, Chemistry42's physics-based tool, the team further optimized existing hit compounds. Notably, one lead compound named 9c-1 achieved a 35-fold improvement in activity compared to compound 3, reaching sub-micromolar binding affinity. This molecule represents a major advance and was identified as a potential candidate for potent WDR5-MYC protein-protein interaction (PPI) inhibitor therapy.

Yunji Technology has been deeply cultivating the trillion-yuan hotel market, and has gradually extended its mature service model to medical institutions, office buildings, factories, residential communities, and other scenarios — particularly special areas where humans face risks. To enable robots to perform more and more complex operations, Yunji is progressively deconstructing human movements and behaviors, working toward building an action foundation model. Going forward, digitalization in the hotel industry will require collaborative efforts across stakeholders to build an intelligent agent ecosystem and provide integrated solutions.

HyperStrong Completes Energy Storage Project Delivery for StarCharge Supercharging Station

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company HyperStrong (688411.SH) completed the energy storage project delivery for StarCharge's Beidi Road supercharging station in Shanghai, setting a new benchmark for charging station energy management through precise peak-valley arbitrage strategies and intelligent power support technology.

As a key smart energy project in Shanghai, this supercharging station serves over 1,000 EV charging sessions daily, facing two major challenges: high electricity prices during peak charging periods and transformer overload during peak demand. Drawing on its deep understanding of charging-storage scenarios, HyperStrong deployed liquid-cooled outdoor cabinet products to address these pain points for the supercharging station. The energy storage system achieves two full power charge-discharge cycles daily, storing electricity during off-peak hours and releasing it during peak hours to execute precise peak-valley arbitrage. By monitoring transformer power conditions, it automatically provides short-term power support, reducing transformer stress while ensuring stable operation of liquid-cooled supercharging equipment — preventing revenue losses from power derating during peak charging periods.
