Tashi Zhihang (TARS), a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, recently announced the completion of a $122 million angel+ round.
Founded on February 5, 2025, Tashi Zhihang is an AI-driven Embodied Artificial Intelligence technology company. In just five months, the team has developed an industry-first Human-Centric embodied data engine as its technical core, focusing on building world-leading physical-world AI and general-purpose robotics full-stack technology systems, advancing toward its goal of creating trustworthy super embodied intelligent systems.
Following this round, Tashi Zhihang will further expand its ecosystem and scenario resources, and launch a global recruitment drive for top talent, continuing to build a more dynamic and sustainably competitive organization.

Yongzhou Central Hospital in Hunan Province Signs Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Shukun Technology
Yongzhou Central Hospital in Hunan Province has signed a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement with Shukun Technology, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company. The two parties will jointly build a modern digital hospital integrating smart healthcare, smart services, and smart management, marking a new phase in Yongzhou's medical digitalization and intelligent transformation.
The collaboration will unfold across three dimensions: First, moving beyond point optimization, they will use the central hospital as a hub to build an end-to-end intelligent system covering pre-diagnosis, diagnosis, and post-diagnosis, helping doctors improve quality and efficiency. Second, moving beyond single-hospital boundaries, they will build an intelligent medical consortium to radiate the central hospital's quality resources across Yongzhou, achieving "examinations at grassroots facilities, diagnosis at the center, rehabilitation locally." TandemAI, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, and DynamicPeptides have announced the completion of their merger. The combined company will continue operating under the name TandemAI, expanding its team of scientists with extensive experience in drug discovery and development, and better serving partners with a broader range of small-molecule and peptide drug discovery methods and workflows.

This is not merely a product feature upgrade, but a reconstruction of content creation itself.
For creators, achieving ideal video footage through image-to-video traditionally depends heavily on storyboards — typically a dozen or more per scene, with potentially hundreds needed for a single short film. Even professional creators spend considerable time on this step, impacting production efficiency. Vidu Q1's reference-to-video feature skips the complex storyboard production stage entirely. Users simply upload reference images of characters, props, scenes, and other elements, and the system directly fuses multiple reference elements into a video clip, truly achieving zero-storyboard generation.

DH-Robotics Launches MCEA and RCEA Micro Electric Actuators
DH-Robotics, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, has launched the MCEA series platform-type electric actuators and RCEA series rod-type electric actuators.
The series of electric cylinders measure just 35 mm in width yet can handle 15 kg of horizontal load. Rayner Launches First Domestic EDoF IOL, Shijiwuji®
Recently, Rayner — a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company — launched its intraocular lens Shijiwuji®. During the 25th Chinese Medical Association Congress of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the company held a dedicated symposium for Shijiwuji®, the first domestically developed extended depth-of-focus (EDoF) intraocular lens.
Dr. Xiugao Liao, Chairman and General Manager of Rayner, noted in his address that the company has pursued R&D and breakthroughs since its founding. Following the 2024 launch of Shiquanji® — the first domestic trifocal IOL — Rayner has now introduced Shijiwuji®, a new refractive IOL that once again claims the title of "China's first." 01/ UBTECH's Tiangong Xingzhe Robot Receives Orders for 100+ Units, With 300+ Expected Deliveries This Year
Since March, when UBTECH (09880.HK) — a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company — partnered with the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center to launch the Tiangong Xingzhe, a 172 cm full-size humanoid robot for research and education, the model has accumulated orders for over 100 units. In addition to UBTECH's industrial humanoid robots Walker S1 and Walker S2 and commercial humanoid robot Walker C, deliveries of the Tiangong Xingzhe for the education and research segment alone are expected to exceed 300 units this year. UBTECH is ramping up production lines and expanding capacity to meet substantial domestic and international demand for humanoid robots.
Tiangong Xingzhe features a highly biomimetic torso configuration and human-like motion control capabilities, and is equipped with the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center's "Huisi Kaiwu" general embodied AI platform. The company has developed three versions — basic, mid-tier, and high-end — based on customer needs, with over 60% of current orders being for the mid-tier and high-end configurations.

Zhipu AI — a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company — recently announced that GLM-4.1V-9B-Thinking has claimed the top spot on HuggingFace Trending despite its compact 9B parameter size. GLM-4.1V-Thinking is a general-purpose reasoning large model supporting multimodal inputs including images, video, and documents, designed specifically for complex cognitive tasks. Building on the GLM-4V architecture, the model introduces a chain-of-thought reasoning mechanism and employs reinforcement learning with curriculum sampling (RLCS) to systematically enhance cross-modal causal reasoning capability and stability.
Its lightweight variant, GLM-4.1V-9B-Thinking, keeps parameters under 10B while achieving breakthrough performance. Receives Approval from China's National Health Commission
The National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China has officially announced the approval of Weikang Probiotics' Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis BLa80 for inclusion in the List of Microorganisms Applicable for Infant and Young Child Foods. Weikang Probiotics' BLa80 is the first strain on China's mainland to make this list.
On the clinical research front, more than 20 studies have been conducted around BLa80, enrolling over 2,500 subjects including 1,100 infants and children — covering the entire developmental cycle from birth through early childhood. Results show that BLa80 demonstrates good safety in pediatric populations, improves infant diarrhea, reduces allergy incidence, alleviates eczema as well as gastrointestinal and respiratory symptoms, regulates gut microbiota, enhances immunity, and promotes nutrient metabolism.

08/ Ningbo No. 6 Hospital Uses Aotai Weijing Microsurgical Robot
to Complete 0.5mm Ultra-Thin Perforator Flap Transplantation
Recently, Ningbo No. 6 Hospital used the Kai microsurgical robot developed by Aotai Weijing, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, to complete an ultra-thin perforator flap transplantation.
The entire procedure was robot-assisted, completing 0.5mm supermicrosurgical vascular anastomosis. Postoperatively, the wound was minimal with very little bleeding; the patient experienced significantly reduced pain, recovery exceeded expectations, and the rehabilitation period was notably shortened.
This marks the formal clinical application of microsurgical robots in Zhejiang Province, representing a major breakthrough in precision repair technology for high-incidence occupational injuries and bringing new hope to patient populations dominated by industrial workers.

During the Joint Ophthalmology Conference of Southwest China's Five Provinces and the 25th Sichuan Medical Association Ophthalmology Academic Conference, Rayner Surgical, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, hosted a symposium on China's first domestic trifocal intraocular lens, sharing with ophthalmology experts the patented design, product features, and clinical experience of its trifocal IOL Visunex®.
Professor Wu Zhengzheng from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital shared "Sport Trifocal Phase 3 Clinical Data." Comparing defocus curves at 6 and 12 months post-surgery, Rayner Surgical's trifocal intraocular lens Visunex® demonstrated statistically significant, notably superior intermediate-distance vision. In the visual quality satisfaction questionnaire, 13 questions surveyed common nighttime optical disturbances, with results showing superior performance in nighttime optical disturbances and quality-of-life comfort — even demonstrating statistically significant excellence in "soreness or fatigue around or within the eyes."

ISO 15189 Medical Laboratory Quality and Competence Accreditation On-Site Assessment
Recently, Chongqing Chinlims Medical Laboratory Co., Ltd. ("Chongqing Chinlims"), a subsidiary of Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Chinlims Medical, successfully passed the on-site assessment for ISO 15189 medical laboratory quality and competence accreditation organized by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS).
The assessment team conducted an in-depth review of the laboratory, examining documentation, pulling records, running on-site tests, evaluating personnel, and interviewing staff. They put technicians through technical proficiency checks including retesting of retained samples and comparisons between personnel and testing systems. They also pored over the lab's quality management system files, equipment archives, reagent and consumable management records, training logs, internal audit reports, and management review reports — thoroughly verifying how the quality management system was running to ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 15189.
In addition, the team went out to client sites and, following CNAS laboratory accreditation requirements to the letter, conducted a comprehensive review of every step in the pre-examination process. They focused on initial sample verification, data entry, assignment of unique identifiers, and completeness of chain-of-custody records. They also verified the accuracy and timeliness of test reports and the effectiveness of clinical communication on the ground, making sure the lab's services genuinely met clinical needs.

Recently, Sinovision, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company and a leading player in functional-position imaging within the high-end medical imaging equipment space, showcased its standing-position CT series at the 2025 6th Annual Musculoskeletal Imaging Conference.
Presentations and detailed briefings on Sinovision's standing-position CT series by multiple experts drew considerable attention from radiologists and orthopedic specialists. The exceptional image quality won high praise from leading experts in radiology, orthopedics, and related disciplines in China. Recently, two Qiming Venture Partners portfolio companies, ACX Instruments and Bayprobio, participated in the First Single-Cell Proteomics Academic Conference, showcasing their breakthrough technology — the BOXmini™ SCP single-cell proteomics sample preparation platform.
The platform features a complete end-to-end reaction workflow with reaction volumes as low as 10 nL, ensuring ultra-efficient reaction kinetics. Its water-in-oil droplet structure prevents evaporation and transfer losses, securing high protein yield from single cells. All pre-processing steps — single-cell sorting, lysis, enzymatic digestion, and labeling — are automated on-chip according to preset protocols, minimizing experimental variation from manual handling and ensuring stability and consistency across single-cell samples. The extremely low reaction volume guarantees highly efficient reactions, while the instrument's streamlined operation enables label-free single-cell sample pre-processing in as little as two hours after optimization.
