Epicrispr Biotech Closes $60 Million Series B Round Qiming Venture Partners Continues Investment

Clinical-stage innovative drug R&D company Epicrispr Biotech recently announced the completion of a $60 million Series B financing round. Existing investor Qiming Venture Partners participated in this round. The proceeds will primarily support continued clinical development of EPI-003 for functional cure of chronic hepatitis B and EPI-001 for hypercholesterolemia treatment. Additionally, funds will accelerate multiple preclinical programs and ongoing platform development, injecting strong momentum into Epicrispr Biotech's deep cultivation in the epigenetic drug R&D field.

As a leading biotechnology company dedicated to developing next-generation epigenetic regulation technologies for chronic diseases, Epicrispr Biotech consistently stays at the forefront of the industry. Free-Weight Full-Chain Self-Developed Music Model

YinChao Music Passes AI Service Filing

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Free-Weight's fully self-developed music large model — "YinChao Music" — has successfully passed the filing for generative AI services by China's Cyberspace Administration (filing number: Shanghai-YinChaoYinYue-202507160059). This marks that the model has met national requirements in compliance, security, and reliability. YinChao Music's emergence breaks the previous scarcity of consumer-facing commercial-grade music models in China, and establishes a solid foundation for Free-Weight's deep cultivation in the vertical music domain.

Free-Weight's R&D team abandoned traditional approaches, pioneering an AR+NAR hybrid architecture. This leading design enables the model to combine excellent long-term structural coherence with fine-grained local detail generation, effectively capturing global dynamic changes in music and reconstructing them with high fidelity.

To pursue immersive music generation to the extreme, the team also independently developed a diffusion transformer model (DiT) that can directly perform joint modeling on stereo signals. Leveraging its unique attention mechanism, this model can precisely capture and synchronize subtle phase differences, intensity differences, and time delays between left and right channels. Consequently, the model generates not flat monophonic expansion but stereo audio with authentic, natural spatial perception — constructing a believable sound field with width, depth, and positional sense for listeners, delivering a truly immersive auditory experience.
