Noitom Robotics Completes Pre-A+ Round

Noitom Robotics recently announced the completion of its Pre-A+ round, led by Qiming Venture Partners. Following its Pre-A round and this latest financing, Noitom Robotics has raised a cumulative total of several hundred million RMB.

The proceeds will primarily fund continued R&D investment in multimodal data collection, processing, and delivery capabilities for Embodied Artificial Intelligence; accelerate the build-out of scalable data production systems and engineering platforms; and further strengthen core technical and engineering team capabilities to enhance productized delivery and service capacity — laying a solid foundation for Noitom Robotics' long-term global development.

On this funding round, Dr. Ruoli Dai, founder of Noitom Robotics and a veteran technical expert in motion capture and human-computer interaction, said: "This represents not just validation of our technical direction, but a vote of confidence in long-termism. We're grateful to our investors for trusting a 'robotics company that doesn't build robots.' We'll repay that trust through sustained technical investment and product and service capabilities."

Galaxy Universal Raises $300 Million in New Funding Round

Galaxy Universal, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, recently announced the completion of a new funding round exceeding $300 million, once again setting a record for single-round financing in Embodied Artificial Intelligence. The capital structure and scale of this round demonstrate that the global humanoid robotics industry, after rapid advances in locomotion capabilities, is now entering a new phase of scaled productive force represented by Galaxy Universal.

OCUL Completes Series B Round

Recently, Shenzhen-based OCUL Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. ("OCUL"), a company focused on innovative ophthalmic drug R&D, successfully completed a $30 million Series B round co-led by Qiming Venture Partners. The proceeds will fully support the Phase II clinical trials in both China and the US for its core product — OCUL101, a first-in-class bispecific antibody ophthalmic drug — injecting strong momentum into the accelerated development of this blockbuster candidate.

Retinal diseases have become a leading cause of irreversible vision impairment worldwide. Neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD), diabetic macular edema (DME), and geographic atrophy (GA) — three major conditions — afflict tens of millions of patients globally, with urgent unmet clinical needs.

OCUL101, OCUL's self-developed innovative bispecific antibody, targets all three indications as a global first-in-class therapy. Its unique anti-VEGF–complement C5 dual-target design simultaneously blocks three pathological pathways: angiogenesis, vascular leakage, and inflammatory response, fundamentally overcoming the therapeutic limitations of single-target drugs. It is expected to become the first domestic drug for GA and the first globally to cover all three indications, offering patients a more comprehensive treatment option.

Sonosilicon Completes Pre-A Round

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Sonosilicon completed its Pre-A round. Specializing in miniature on-chip ultrasound modules and systems, Sonosilicon builds an autonomous technology chain spanning chips, modules, and intelligent systems, powered by planar array ASICs, silicon-based ultrasound transducers, and edge-computing-based ultrasound AI.

As the only domestic innovator with self-developed 4D planar array ultrasound imaging chips and one of the few globally with an on-chip ultrasound closed-loop system, Sonosilicon continues to drive the localization of high-end ultrasound equipment, filling domestic industrial gaps in large-scale planar array ultrasound, 4D intracardiac echocardiography (4D-ICE), and miniature ring-array intravascular ultrasound (R-IVUS). Yunji Technology Reaches Strategic Partnership with Thailand's AERO Group

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Yunji Technology reached a formal strategic partnership with AERO Group, a leading Thai enterprise in fluid power and automation. Yunji Technology CEO Quanyin Li and Yang Zi, head of Southeast Asia operations, visited AERO Group's headquarters and factory at the invitation of their hosts, conducting on-site inspections of AERO's system integration and service capabilities in hydraulics, automation, and energy. The two parties signed a cooperation agreement on-site. Under the agreement, AERO Group will become Yunji Technology's exclusive distribution partner in Southeast Asia's industrial sector, marking a significant step forward in Yunji Technology's globalization strategy in a key market.

Going forward, Yunji Technology will export its mature robotics technology products and global deployment experience, while AERO Group will contribute local channel resources, precise scenario insights, and full-process service support — forming a complementary "technology going global + local deep cultivation" collaboration model that precisely addresses core demands in the Southeast Asian market.

Jacobio Pharma and AstraZeneca Reach Global Exclusive Licensing Agreement for Pan-KRAS Inhibitor JAB-23E73

Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Jacobio Pharma (01167.HK) announced that it has entered into a partnership agreement with AstraZeneca for its self-developed Pan-KRAS inhibitor JAB-23E73. Under the agreement, AstraZeneca will obtain exclusive development and commercialization rights for the product in markets outside China. In the China market, Jacobio will co-develop and co-commercialize the product with AstraZeneca.

Per the agreement terms, Jacobio will receive a $100 million upfront payment and be eligible for additional development and commercialization milestone payments of up to $1.915 billion, as well as tiered royalties on net sales achieved in markets outside China. AstraZeneca will be responsible for all clinical development, regulatory filings, and commercialization activities for JAB-23E73 in markets outside China.

Qiming Venture Partners portfolio companies Biren Technology, StepFun, and Shanghai Yidian AI Computing Service formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement. This partnership will further enable the three companies to leverage their complementary strengths, continuously explore technological innovation and model breakthroughs, and build a domestic, autonomous, and controllable industrial closed loop from underlying hardware to upper-layer applications — contributing solid momentum to the prosperity of Shanghai's and the nation's AI ecosystem and the secure development of the digital economy.

As a leading domestic provider of general-purpose intelligent computing solutions, Biren Technology focuses on developing domestic general-purpose GPUs, using high-performance domestic chips to fortify the hardware foundation for computing power. Tashi Zhihang's Full-Stack Technology Makes Its Debut with "Embroidery"

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Tashi Zhihang successfully concluded its "TA Is Here: Needle Mastery" technology debut livestream. During this broadcast, the world's first robot capable of autonomous embroidery was officially unveiled, demonstrating the coupling of technology and innovation through sub-millimeter precision operations.

When the "needle mastery" of fingertip embroidery gains the "real strength" to migrate to industrial scenarios, Tashi Zhihang breaks through flexible precision manufacturing and conquers wire harnesses — the "Goldbach conjecture" of industrial automation. This is not merely success in a single scenario; it provides a verifiable, replicable industrial-grade practical sample for the industrial implementation of Embodied AI's Scaling Law.

At the livestream event, Tashi Zhihang showcased the world's first robot to complete hand embroidery. Through fine control of the needle, the complex and precise embroidery process accomplished smooth thread pulling, needle placement, and piercing actions, ultimately producing the Tashi Zhihang logo — fully demonstrating breakthrough capabilities in flexible material manipulation and极限操作精度.

This was no simple embroidery demonstration, but rather a "hexagonal capability verification" of a fine, complex, long-horizon operational task. Unisound Releases Medical Domain Expert Large Model "Shanhai · Zhiyi Medical Model 5.0"

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Unisound officially launched its latest medical domain expert-grade large model — "Shanhai · Zhiyi Medical Model 5.0." This milestone release marks the critical evolution of its medical large model from "intelligent tool" to "clinical collaborator," empowering the full process of serious medical practice with deeper medical understanding, more proactive collaboration capabilities, and more reliable output — opening a new chapter in intelligent healthcare.

As a company that has long been deeply rooted in the medical AI track, Unisound has built substantial expertise in the AI healthcare space. In May 2023, it launched Shanhai, a general-purpose multimodal large model, and on that foundation introduced the same year a specialized medical large model, "Shanhai Zhiyi" (Shanhai Medical Sage), designed to transform a "generalist" into a "specialist" by using the general-purpose model as a base, then applying professional data training, regulatory compliance adaptation, and workflow customization. The goal was to address core pain points in the medical industry while controlling risk and reducing costs, driving AI to truly integrate into the healthcare system and create value.

This release of Shanhai Zhiyi Medical Large Model 5.0 represents the culmination of Unisound's work in the medical field. It is not simply a parameter update, but a systematic reshaping of capabilities built around real clinical needs. InventisBio's CSF-1R Inhibitor Bexmab® Receives NMPA Approval

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company InventisBio (02256.HK) announced that its independently developed CSF-1R highly selective small-molecule inhibitor Bexmab® (pimicotinib hydrochloride capsules) has been approved by China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) for the treatment of adult patients with symptomatic tenosynovial giant cell tumor (TGCT) for whom surgical resection could result in limited function or severe complications. Following approval, Merck Group will work to make this product available to TGCT patients in China as quickly as possible.

Bexmab® is a novel, orally available, highly selective and potent small-molecule CSF-1R inhibitor independently developed by InventisBio. This NMPA approval is based on positive results from the global Phase III MANEUVER study. The study showed that Bexmab® achieved the highest objective response rate (ORR) assessed by RECIST v1.1 criteria to date among all Phase III studies of systemic TGCT treatment. At week 25, as assessed by blinded independent review committee (BIRC) based on RECIST v1.1 criteria, Bexmab® demonstrated statistically significant superiority over placebo in the primary endpoint of ORR (54.0% vs. 3.2%, P<0.0001). Bexmab® also achieved clinically meaningful and statistically significant improvements across multiple key secondary endpoints closely related to patients' quality of life, including improved range of joint motion (p=0.0003), improved physical function (PROMIS-PF; p=0.0074), and reduced worst stiffness (p<0.0001) and worst pain (p<0.0001). Long-term follow-up data presented at the 2025 European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) Congress further demonstrated that Bexmab® can deliver robust and durable tumor response in TGCT patients. At a median follow-up of 14.3 months, patients who received Bexmab® from study start showed a significant improvement in ORR from 54% at week 25 to 76.2% (95% CI: 63.8, 86.0), including 4 patients who achieved complete response.

Yanshengchao's YSC001 Project Receives IND Approval

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Yanshengchao (Beijing) Biotech announced important R&D progress: its first independently developed innovative drug project, YSC001, has successfully received a new drug clinical trial (IND) approval from the Center for Drug Evaluation, NMPA (CDE).

This marks the successful completion of key validation of preclinical research for the YSC001 project and formal approval to enter the clinical trial phase. It is an important milestone in the company's rapid growth, and a significant step for Yanshengchao in addressing the common pain points of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases — "insufficient drug efficacy, high recurrence rates, and significant side effects" — through innovative drug development.

The novel target addressed by the YSC001 project enables dual clearance of pathogenic T cells and B cells without interfering with the body's large population of naïve T cells and B cells, significantly improving efficacy while reducing post-treatment infection risk. Its unique dual-action mechanism has demonstrated efficacy clearly superior to existing drugs in nearly ten autoimmune disease animal models, and has been validated in the company's proprietary in vitro human cell experimental system.

This IND approval for the YSC001 project also marks the company's efforts to translate cutting-edge scientific discoveries into clinical value entering an entirely new phase. Yanshengchao will fully advance YSC001's clinical trials, systematically evaluating its safety, tolerability, and efficacy. We are confident and hopeful that through rigorous clinical research, we can bring more effective and safer medicines to patients with autoimmune diseases.

Asieris Pharma's APL-2401 Receives NMPA Approval for Phase I Clinical Trial in FGFR2/3-Driven Advanced Solid Tumors

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Asieris Pharma (688176.SH), a global innovative drug company focused on urogenital system tumors and women's health, announced that its independently developed APL-2401 (drug name: ASN-8639 tablets) has received approval from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) to conduct a Phase I clinical trial in patients with FGFR2/3-driven advanced solid tumors. Notably, APL-2401 is a globally co-developed Class 1 innovative drug. Its international multicenter clinical trial design and application materials meet international clinical trial technical standards, and it was successfully included in the "30-Day Channel" established under the NMPA's September 12, 2025 announcement "On Matters Related to Optimizing the Review and Approval of Innovative Drug Clinical Trials (Announcement No. 86 of 2025)," receiving approval in just 22 working days and becoming one of the first projects nationwide to be approved under this new policy.

APL-2401 is a highly selective fibroblast growth factor receptor 2/3 (FGFR2/3) dual-target small-molecule inhibitor independently developed by the company, with the potential to provide a new treatment option for patients with advanced solid tumors (such as urothelial carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma, endometrial cancer, gastric cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, and other specific solid tumors).

Zhang Yun, Chief Medical Officer of Asieris Pharma, stated: "We are very pleased that APL-2401's IND has been approved by the NMPA, and the company will actively advance the clinical development of this product. APL-2401 has already completed clinical trial filing with the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) under Australia's Department of Health. EpiGenTek's Epigenetic Therapy EPI-003 Receives FDA Clinical Trial Authorization

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company EpiGenTek, a clinical-stage innovative drug R&D company, announced that its innovative epigenetic regulatory therapy EPI-003 has formally received clinical trial authorization (IND) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B. EPI-003 is the world's first epigenetic regulatory therapy based on lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery technology to receive FDA approval to enter clinical trials. Currently, the drug's Phase I clinical trial is proceeding smoothly in New Zealand, Australia, and Hong Kong. This FDA authorization will strongly advance EPI-003's global multicenter clinical development.

EPI-003 is an intravenous antiviral drug based on a novel mechanism of action. Through an LNP delivery system, the drug precisely delivers mRNA encoding epigenetic regulatory proteins and guide RNA targeting HBV genes to liver cells, directly performing persistent epigenetic modification on cccDNA and integrated DNA, thereby suppressing the generation of all viral products at the transcriptional source. Preclinical studies have shown that EPI-003 can significantly and sustainably reduce hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) and HBV DNA levels, and maintain long-term efficacy after drug discontinuation, demonstrating the potential to achieve functional cure and even complete cure of hepatitis B.

Tigermed Participates in Academic Conference on Atopic Dermatitis

Recently, the "2025 First Xizi Academic Exchange Conference on Atopic Dermatitis," hosted by the Dermatovenereology Committee of the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine, concluded successfully in Hangzhou. The conference was chaired by Professor Liming Wu, Director of the Department of Dermatology at Hangzhou First People's Hospital, affiliated with Westlake University School of Medicine. Centered on the theme of "Integration of Chinese and Western Medicine," the conference focused on cutting-edge topics in clinical diagnosis, treatment, and scientific research innovation for atopic dermatitis, building an interdisciplinary, high-level academic exchange platform that attracted clinical dermatology experts, researchers, and pharmaceutical industry representatives from across the country to discuss developments in the field. Multiple experts from Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Tigermed were invited to attend, sharing insights on dermatology clinical research project management, bottlenecks in new drug development, and future breakthroughs.

The successful convening of this Xizi Academic Exchange Conference brought comprehensive, in-depth exchanges on atopic dermatitis (AD) treatment — from strategic discussions on new drug development to practical implementation of clinical research. As a deep participant in dermatology clinical research, Tigermed has contributed to the successful market launch of drugs in multiple subfields including atopic dermatitis, chronic spontaneous urticaria, and alopecia areata, and has cumulatively implemented over 200 clinical trials related to dermatology.

Recently, global lidar industry leader Hesai Technology (NASDAQ: HSAI, 02525.HK) was selected for Morgan Stanley's prestigious "Humanoid Tech 25" list. The list focuses on the 25 most influential robotics and related technology companies globally. Insilico Medicine Research Selected for Nature Biotechnology's 2025 Top Research Advances

Recently, the Nature Biotechnology editorial team selected the year's key research highlights from work published in Nature Biotechnology and other journals in 2025. This year, the biotechnology field accelerated at the intersection of gene editing, cell and gene therapy, immunotherapy, and artificial intelligence (AI): CRISPR-based editing tools became increasingly precise with significantly enhanced clinical relevance, and biotechnology continues to expand the boundaries of immunotherapy.
