Jieti Medical Completes 500 Million Yuan Strategic Financing Round

Recently, Jieti Medical announced the completion of a 500 million yuan strategic financing round, with continued investment from Qiming Venture Partners. Bolstered by this capital injection, Jieti Medical has demonstrated strong momentum in both technical breakthroughs and clinical advancement. Following three successful brain-computer interface (BCI) clinical trials last year, the company's clinical progress has continued to accelerate: in early 2026, leveraging its self-developed surgical robot, Jieti Medical completed the clinical implantation of its WRS02 — a 256-channel wireless high-throughput invasive BCI system intended for registration — and achieved effective validation of brain-controlled interactive functions. This represents not only a technical leap for Jieti Medical but also China's first 256-channel invasive BCI clinical trial, marking a revolutionary step forward for the country in high-performance invasive BCI. The WRS02 is also currently the only invasive BCI product approved for the National Medical Products Administration's "Green Channel" for innovative medical devices.

Building on this success, Jieti Medical is now preparing for more ambitious clinical expansion. The company plans to launch large-scale multi-center registration clinical trials in mid-2026, with the goal of enrolling and implanting approximately 40 patients within the year. By the end of 2026, Jieti Medical's total number of clinical implantations could approach or even surpass Neuralink's current clinical trial total (approximately 21 cases), signaling that Chinese BCI companies are sprinting toward global leadership in commercialization and clinical deployment.

Jieti Medical founder Xue Li stated: "Brain-computer interfaces are not just a cutting-edge medical technology — they represent the ultimate convergence of life sciences and information technology. The deep expertise that major tech companies have accumulated in multimodal large models, computing infrastructure, intelligent hardware, and ecosystem deployment can be deeply integrated with Jieti Medical's globally leading BCI hardware capabilities and clinical translation experience. This powerful collaboration will jointly build a next-generation intelligent BCI system and a rich ecosystem of frontier applications. This is not only support for medical innovation, but also a forward-looking investment in the underlying capabilities of next-generation human-machine interaction."
