Funding News
Shengshu Technology Closes Nearly RMB 2 Billion Series B Round
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Shengshu Technology announced the completion of a nearly RMB 2 billion Series B financing round. The proceeds will fund R&D for general world model technology, industrial deployment, and global talent acquisition. This round will help Shengshu Technology solidify the foundational capabilities of its general world model, accelerate technology commercialization and ecosystem building, maintain its leadership in the general world model track, and drive the deep integration of artificial general intelligence with physical industries.

Shengshu Technology builds on a foundation world model as its core infrastructure, offering Vidu — a world generation model for digital content — and Motus — a world action model for physical embodied intelligence — to create a complete technical closed loop of "understanding-generation-action," with the goal of building a general intelligence system that connects digital and physical worlds.
Its Vidu series models feature cinema-grade audio and video generation capabilities, pioneering "reference-to-video" technology. The Vidu Q3 model topped international authoritative AI benchmark leaderboards. The company serves multiple industries through MaaS, SaaS, and Alibaba Cloud Bailian. Its open-source unified world action model Motus, built on the UniDiffuser architecture, achieves unified multimodal representation, validates embodied foundation model scaling laws, and improves multi-task success rates by approximately 40% over international mainstream models — advancing robots toward unified intelligent agents.

03/ Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals Signs Exclusive Licensing Deal with Korean Pharma Leader JW
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals (603087.SH) announced an exclusive licensing agreement with leading Korean pharmaceutical company JW Pharmaceutical. The two parties will collaborate on the clinical development, regulatory filing, and commercialization in Korea of Gan & Lee's self-developed glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA) biweekly formulation — Bofanglutide injection (development code: GZR18).

This marks Gan & Lee's third overseas licensing deal for Bofanglutide injection, following partnerships in Latin America and India. According to Grand View Research, the Asia-Pacific GLP-1RA market reached USD 5.47 billion in 2025 and is projected to grow to USD 16.95 billion by 2033, representing a 14% CAGR — one of the fastest-growing regions globally. Current GLP-1 drug penetration remains extremely low, indicating massive growth potential. As a mature market in Asia-Pacific, Korea's GLP-1RA market reached USD 526 million in 2025 and is expected to grow to USD 1.6 billion by 2033. With high acceptance of innovative drugs and strong patient payment capacity, Korea has become a strategic gateway for multinational pharmaceutical companies entering East Asia. Gan & Lee's global map for its GLP-1RA biweekly formulation Bofanglutide is taking shape at an accelerating pace.
04/ UBTECH Signs Strategic Agreement with Dematic Technology
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company UBTECH (09880.HK) and Dematic Technology Group Co., Ltd. held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony in Shanghai, formally inking their partnership. UBTECH and Dematic will jointly advance the large-scale deployment and commercial application of humanoid robot technology in core scenarios including intelligent manufacturing and smart logistics, marking a new phase in UBTECH's deep synergy between embodied intelligence and industrial smart logistics.

With "technology synergy, scenario deepening, and ecosystem co-building" as their strategic axis, the two parties will fully expand cooperation across five core directions: joint technology R&D, deep scenario adaptation, collaborative breakthroughs in core components, joint venture operations, and embodied data collection coordination. Taking this strategic partnership as a new starting point, UBTECH and Dematic will drive innovation as the core engine, prioritize value delivery, and pursue global expansion as the long-term goal — continuously increasing R&D investment and scenario expansion to jointly build an open, collaborative, and mutually beneficial global ecosystem for embodied intelligence and industrial logistics, leading industrial smart logistics into a new era of human-machine integration.
05/ Zai Lab Enters Global Clinical Research Collaboration with Amgen
Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Zai Lab (NASDAQ:ZLAB, 09688.HK) recently announced a global clinical research collaboration with Amgen to evaluate zocilurtatug pelitecan (zoci, formerly ZL-1310), Zai Lab's clinical-stage delta-like ligand 3 (DLL3)-targeting antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), in combination with Amgen's IMDELLTRA® (tarlatamab), a DLL3-targeting bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE®) therapy, for patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC).

As part of this collaboration agreement, Amgen will sponsor a global Phase 1b study evaluating the safety and efficacy of zoci combined with IMDELLTRA® in ES-SCLC patients. Zai Lab retains full ownership of zoci and will supply clinical trial materials to Amgen. Dr. Rafael G. Amado, President and Global Head of R&D at Zai Lab, stated: "This dual-targeting combination strategy has the potential to improve response rates and depth of response for systemic and intracranial treatment, address resistance mechanisms, and open new treatment paradigms for small cell lung cancer patients. These two therapies leverage complementary mechanisms of action — our ADC delivers a potent cytotoxic payload directly to DLL3-expressing tumor cells, while the T-cell engager is designed to activate T cells by binding the same antigen to trigger anti-tumor immune responses."
