Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center

The Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center is an industry consortium co-founded at the end of 2023 by UBTECH — which serves as its initiating and general-managing member — together with ten other industry-leading companies and institutions, with UBTECH CTO and executive director Xiong Youjun as its legal representative and general manager, per a Qiming Venture Partners piece . UBTECH backed it from day one, seconding R&D staff and opening more than 300 patents to help it rapidly develop the general-purpose humanoid platform "Tiangong" . Its output so far centers on that platform: in March 2025 it jointly launched with UBTECH the full-size research-and-education humanoid "Tiangong Xingzhe," pitched as a cost-effective reset of the research/education market , and its full-size Tiangong Ultra was the first to cross the finish line in a humanoid robot race . More recently it has been embedding itself in the embodied-AI supply chain — named among the first global strategic customers of D-Robotics' S600 development platform in November 2025, and by August 2026 counted among the 20-plus embodied-AI companies D-Robotics has partnered with, per Unity Ventures .
