Hua Su

Hua Su (宿华) is a co-founder of Kuaishou (快手), the Chinese short-video platform. In 2023, he was photographed alongside fellow co-founder Cheng Yixiao (程一笑) and investor Xi Cao of Lisi Capital on the day of Kuaishou's IPO, when the company's market cap surged past HK$1.2 trillion . Su Hua also appears as an early investor in other ventures: he and his brother invested in Yuan Jinhui's "friends-and-family" round for OneFlow, a deep-learning framework startup, before it raised from institutions including Kuaishou itself, Hillhouse and others . In a notable episode from Kuaishou's early history, when the company was still called "GIF Kuaishou" and consisted only of Cheng Yixiao, investor Zhang Fei of 5Y Capital (Wuyuan) invested RMB 2 million; the following year, when Kuaishou hit a bottleneck, Zhang Fei persuaded Su Hua to join by restructuring the cap table—diluting both 5Y Capital and Cheng's team by half, creating a 50% option pool, and granting most of it to Su Hua's team, a move 暗涌Waves described as "a rare moment when an investor changed a company's destiny" .
