Huazhe Xu

Huazhe Xu is a Tsinghua University assistant professor and the founder of Poke Robotics (破壳机器人 / 破壳科技), an embodied-AI startup focused on home robotics . He is an alumnus of Tsinghua's Department of Electronic Engineering (Class of 2012) and has been described as an entrepreneur-scientist who "stubbornly chases originality in the AI wave" . In the view of one of his investors, today's embodied-intelligence field has largely only completed "the first kilometer" toward true generality, with fundamental challenges in data scale, system generalization, and long-horizon task execution still unresolved .
