MPS Mobile Energy Solution

MPS (Mobility Power Supply) is a mobile energy solution first defined by Shanghai-based startup Guoguang Shunneng in 2022, built around autonomous, vehicle-mounted charging units that bring power to parked electric vehicles rather than requiring drivers to locate fixed charging piles . The company launched the DHForce brand to operate the service, with users ordering charging through an app . Two products were in development as of mid-2022: the G60 "Xiaohei" targeting passenger cars and the larger G90 "Dabai" for commercial vehicles and heavy equipment .

The units combine several technologies developed under Guoguang Shunneng's RxTech platform—4C fast-charging cells capable of adding 150km of range in 10 minutes, autonomous driving for "pile finds person" operation, and distributed energy storage that can feed back into the grid for peak shaving and load balancing . Founder Deng Xiaoguang, previously at Siemens VDO, SAIC New Energy, Neta Auto, and Qingtao Solid-State Battery, pitched MPS as a way to avoid the massive grid expansion costs that fixed infrastructure would require as China's EV fleet grows .

Guoguang Shunneng raised an eight-figure RMB angel round in July 2022 from Linear Capital and Sequoia China Seed Fund, with capital earmarked for product iteration and pilot commercial deployments . As of the 2022 coverage, the company was running pilot programs with strategic partners and local governments across smart city, new infrastructure, and dual-carbon demonstration projects .
