Muye Micro

Muye Micro (牧野微电子) is a Shenzhen-based chip company specializing in 4D millimeter-wave radar technology for autonomous driving. Founded in December 2021, it positions itself as a leader in 4D mmWave radar chip development, with its marketing director Tang Lin describing traditional mmWave radar as essential for L2+ autonomous driving—particularly for compensating vision systems in poor weather and low-light conditions where it outperforms LiDAR and cameras .

The company raised a 100 million yuan Pre-A round in April 2023, co-led by 5Y Capital and Kaiwind Ventures, with participation from Redpoint China and Yiling Capital; existing investors including Gaorong Ventures and Huaye Tiancheng Capital also added to their positions . The funding was earmarked for productization and alpha customer mass production delivery. Gaorong Ventures had initially backed Muye Micro's angel round in early 2022 .
