Muye Micro is a Shenzhen-based chip company specializing in 4D millimeter-wave radar chips for automotive applications . Founded in December 2021 , it positions itself as a technology leader in the 4D mmWave radar chip space, with its market director Tang Lin describing traditional mmWave radar as essential for L2+ autonomous driving—"filling the gaps of vision" where cameras and LiDAR fall short in poor weather and low light . The company raised a 100 million yuan Pre-A round in April 2023, co-led by 5Y Capital and Kaiwind Ventures, with follow-on from Redpoint China, Yiling Capital, and returning investors Huaye Tiancheng and Gaorong Capital ; Gaorong had already backed its angel round in early 2022 .
