Space Bus

Space Bus (太空巴士) is a family of orbital transfer vehicles (OTVs) developed by Infinity Aerospace (无限宇航), a Chinese commercial in-orbit servicing startup. The series provides space transportation across orbital altitudes from 200km to 36,000km, enabling cross-orbit satellite deployment, multi-satellite rideshare missions, and constellation deployment — and thanks to its long-duration on-orbit capability, it can stay up after deployment to run in-orbit verification, maintenance, and refueling tasks. Per Unity Ventures, its 300N orbit-transfer and attitude-control engines use regenerative cooling — the first domestic engine of that class on this technical route — and the Space Bus-1 completed a full-system ground hot-fire test in March 2025, making it the first OTV in China to pass full-system ground verification in flight-ready configuration.

On the economics, the company claims deployment costs can fall by up to roughly 66% versus traditional satellite deployment, with orbital insertion time cut by about 85%. The vehicle has anchored Infinity Aerospace's funding trajectory: an angel round led by Unity Ventures in early 2025 to fund Space Bus R&D, a tens-of-millions Pre-A in late 2025 led by Shendan Venture Capital for the first flight vehicle's production, and a nearly 100-million-yuan Series A reported in August 2026 aimed at maiden-flight verification, follow-on models, and scaled manufacturing. Founder-CEO Li Jian has framed it as filling a domestic gap in space transportation services, per a Unity Ventures piece.
