Stackless Data

Stackless Data (栈略数据, also rendered "Zhanlü Data") is a Shanghai-based insurance technology company founded in 2016, specializing in big-data risk control for health insurance — serving insurers, insurance intermediaries, and government medical-insurance regulators with what it calls a "digital health-insurance risk-control closed loop" spanning actuarial work, product design, underwriting, claims, and customer service. Its founding team came from Silicon Valley tech companies, mixing technical, insurance, and medical experts; per a Gaorong Ventures piece, it raised an angel round from Gaorong Capital, Fumu Asset, and Silicon Valley investor Guo Wei right at founding in 2016, an A round in 2017 with DCM and others, a nearly RMB 100M Series B led by Lingfeng Capital in 2019, and most recently a nearly RMB 200M Series C+ in late 2023 led by Qiming Venture Partners with Legend Capital continuing. By 2019 it already counted China Life, PICC, China Taiping, CPIC, and Hannover Re among its risk-control partners, and it has since expanded into government medical-insurance fund supervision, city-level "Huiminbao" programs, and long-term care insurance operations, with its headquarters moving to Shanghai's West Bund in 2023. In September 2025 it was named to Shanghai's "specialized and innovative" SME list, per Qiming Venture Partners.
