Yongsheng Liu

Yongsheng Liu (刘永升, also known as Kakar Liu) is the founder and CEO of Hyperparameter Technology (超参数科技), a game AI company he established in early 2019 after serving as general manager of Tencent AI Lab and as a T4 technical expert at Tencent . During his time at Tencent, he led the development of two landmark AI projects: the Go-playing AI "Jueyi" (绝艺) and the Honor of Kings AI "Juewu" (绝悟) . Hyperparameter has since raised significant funding including a $30 million Series A+ in early 2021 and a $100 million Series B in early 2022, with backing from 5Y Capital and Gaorong Ventures, to build what Liu terms "Living AI" — AI systems that can evolve and provide personalized experiences across virtual worlds . In 5Y Capital investor Shi Yunfeng's assessment, Liu has proven to be "an entrepreneur with very fast acceleration," notably becoming far more outward-facing and open in his exploration of open-ended problems since founding the company .
