Yudi Qin

Yudi Qin is a Tsinghua-educated, born-1997 founder of Chainway (链宇科技), a Beijing-based new-energy hard-tech startup that uses AI agents to manage and schedule distributed energy assets—solar, storage, EV chargers, HVAC—on the user side, positioning itself as an "energy asset management company" that turns hardware into cash-flowing instruments . He started the company in winter 2021 while still a PhD student and captain of Tsinghua's Future Automobile Interest Team, working from an unheated garage in an abandoned auto-parts market . ZhenFund provided the angel round, investing when Qin was barely a year past his undergraduate degree . By 2024, Chainway had taken on the largest number of national V2G (vehicle-to-grid) pilot projects in China and its green smart-home energy solution, developed with China State Construction Engineering, was displayed at the China Building Technology Exhibition and inspected by Premier Li Qiang .
