Selection Criteria
The rankings were determined through quantitative analysis across multiple dimensions, including assets under management, fundraising amounts, number of investment deals, and overall return levels. The evaluation period covered nearly four years of operational data, with the four core modules — fundraising, investment, management, and exit — weighted at 20%, 30%, 20%, and 30% respectively. The final results serve as an important reference for domestic investment institutions and innovative companies in investment, fundraising, and financing activities.
36Kr noted that the investment thesis in the venture capital industry has shifted over the past year. The narrative around artificial intelligence in the primary market has quietly undergone a change in logic. In 2025 alone, Embodied Artificial Intelligence attracted over 65.6 billion yuan in funding, with nearly a thousand companies entering the space. Looking further ahead, hard tech's share of VC investment has climbed from 38% to 62% over five years. There is no doubt that the center of gravity for capital is migrating downstream along the technology stack. AI is no longer just one of many sectors. It is cutting across the capillaries of virtually every industry in a manner that is almost irreversible. Time no longer automatically favors anyone — it only rewards those who truly understand what they are doing.
