UBTECH Signs RMB 30 Million Humanoid Robot Purchase Contract
Total Order Value Nears RMB 430 Million
UQI Youqi, the smart logistics subsidiary of UBTECH (09880.HK), a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, has formally signed a procurement contract with Tianqi Automation Engineering Co., Ltd. ("Tianqi Lithium"). Tianqi Lithium will purchase UBTECH's Walker S series industrial humanoid robots with a total value of RMB 30 million, to be delivered by December 31, 2025.

To date, UBTECH's Walker series industrial humanoid robots have secured contracts totaling nearly RMB 430 million (including nearly RMB 50 million in humanoid robot orders already delivered in the first half of this year, excluding orders for the full-size research and education humanoid robot Tiangong Xingzhe). In September, UBTECH secured a RMB 250 million procurement contract for embodied intelligence humanoid robot products and solutions from a well-known Chinese enterprise — the largest contract in the global humanoid robot sector to date.

Zai Lab Partner Announces FDA Breakthrough Therapy Designation for Povetacicept
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Zai Lab (NASDAQ: ZLAB, 09688.HK) partner Vertex announced that povetacicept has been granted Breakthrough Therapy Designation by the FDA for the treatment of IgA nephropathy. If interim analysis data at 36 weeks meets prespecified efficacy endpoints, povetacicept could potentially seek accelerated approval in the United States in the first half of 2026.

Povetacicept is currently being evaluated in the RAINlER study, a global Phase 3 clinical trial in patients with IgA nephropathy. The study will conduct a prespecified interim analysis (IA) assessing urine protein-to-creatinine ratio (UPCR) in the povetacicept arm versus placebo in a defined number of patients who have completed 36 weeks of treatment. The IA cohort has now completed full enrollment.

Ark Bio Publishes APL-1702 International Multicenter Phase 3 Clinical Trial Data in Cell Press Journal
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Ark Bio (688176.SH) announced that results from the international multicenter Phase 3 clinical trial of its product APL-1702 for the treatment of high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL) have been published online in Med, a journal under Cell Press. Founded by Cell Press, Med is the publisher's flagship medical journal following Cell and Chem, ranked Q1 in Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and dual first-tier in the Chinese Academy of Sciences journal classification.

This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of APL-1702 for cervical HSIL, with Academician Jinghe Lang of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, serving as principal investigator. A total of 402 eligible patients from China, Germany, the Netherlands, and other countries and regions were randomized into the study. Completed statistical analysis results show that the study achieved its primary efficacy endpoint with a favorable safety profile.

SceneRay's deep brain stimulator, which received innovative review approval, represents a breakthrough therapy based on brain-computer interface DBS technology. Brain-computer interface DBS is a minimally invasive, reversible, and adjustable neural modulation technique that improves symptoms by implanting electrodes at specific brain targets to deliver electrical pulses that regulate dysfunctional neural circuits.

WeRide Enters Ras Al Khaimah, UAE; Robotaxi and Robobus Begin Trial Operations
WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD), a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, recently announced a partnership with RAKTA (Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority), the transportation authority of Ras Al Khaimah (one of the seven emirates of the UAE), to officially launch trial operations of WeRide Robotaxi GXR and WeRide Robobus in the emirate. As the sole selected partner for Ras Al Khaimah's smart transportation strategy, WeRide achieved its first deployment in the emirate — a milestone that marks the formal integration of the company's autonomous vehicles into the local public transportation system and paves the way for broader commercial application of WeRide's autonomous products across the UAE.
To further deepen the collaboration, WeRide and RAKTA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) covering the provision of advanced autonomous driving technology solutions, operational support, and training to ensure safe and efficient deployment of autonomous vehicles in Ras Al Khaimah. Tashi Zhihang, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, recently announced the release of World In Your Hands (hereinafter "WIYH Dataset"), the world's first large-scale real-world embodied VLTA (Vision-Language-Tactile-Action) multimodal dataset, with plans to open it to the industry in December 2025. This achievement marks the formal establishment of Tashi Zhihang's industry-first Human-Centric embodied data engine paradigm — a technical approach that is approximately six months ahead of Tesla's Optimus.
Wenchao Ding, Chief Scientist at Tashi Zhihang, said: "The release of the Tashi WIYH Dataset marks the industry's first large-scale, cross-industry, cross-task collection of vision, language, tactile, and action multimodal data in the real world, laying the foundation for achieving the Scaling Law of embodied foundation models in the future."

He noted that miniaturization of endourological instruments has become a clear clinical trend. Professor Traxer highlighted the real-world surgical performance of Shenzhen Hongji Medical's 6.3Fr flexible ureteroscope: the product achieves a balance between a 6.3Fr outer diameter and 3.6Fr inner diameter, delivering excellent bending maneuverability while significantly reducing the size burden for ureteral access, minimizing potential mucosal damage, improving passage rates, and reducing dilation requirements. In routine clinical practice, its specifications can accommodate over 98% of common cases.
