Yuanli Lingji Completes Mega-Merger and New Funding Round

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Yuanli Lingji completed a merger with fellow Qiming portfolio company Atomix, a logistics robotics firm, through an equity acquisition, and closed a new strategic funding round. In the second half of embodied intelligence, models and scenarios must be deeply integrated. This merger marks the first time in China's embodied intelligence track that models and scenarios have truly grown together.

"Models and scenarios have never existed in isolation. This merger achieves a 'two-way embrace' between models and scenarios," said Tang Wenbin, founder and CEO of Yuanli Lingji. "Scaling embodied foundation models must move beyond manual data collection toward industrial scenarios, and Atomix's massive real-world data is precisely the fuel that gets the flywheel spinning. By closing this loop, Yuanli Lingji has secured first-mover access to scaled embodied intelligence deployment. Our next goal is to build the world's leading general-purpose embodied foundation model."

Zai Lab Partner's Povetacicept BLA for IgA Nephropathy Accepted by FDA

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Zai Lab (NASDAQ:ZLAB, 09688.HK) partner Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted its Biologics License Application (BLA) for povetacicept for the treatment of adult immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN). Povetacicept is an investigational engineered fusion protein and a dual inhibitor of BAFF (B-cell activating factor) and APRIL (a proliferation-inducing ligand). The FDA has set a Prescription Drug User Fee Act (PDUFA) target action date of November 30, 2026. If approved, povetacicept would become the first commercial therapy in Vertex's emerging nephrology pipeline.

As disclosed in March, this submission was supported by positive interim analysis data at week 36 from the ongoing Phase 3 RAINIER study of povetacicept in IgAN. Results showed a statistically significant and clinically meaningful reduction in proteinuria (a key marker of kidney disease progression) compared to placebo. RAINIER achieved its primary goal: patients treated with povetacicept demonstrated a 52.0% reduction in urine protein-to-creatinine ratio (UPCR) from baseline at week 36, representing a 49.8% reduction versus placebo that was statistically significant and clinically meaningful (P<0.0001). The reduction in proteinuria was consistent across all prespecified subgroups.

RayBio's Respacio® Absorbable Spacer Hydrogel Successfully Applied in Prostate Cancer SBRT

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company RayBio achieved a new clinical milestone with its self-developed Respacio® tumor radiotherapy "absorbable spacer hydrogel" following its market approval — successfully completing the nation's first application in prostate cancer stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) at Chongqing University Cancer Hospital (Chongqing Cancer Hospital). This represents not only an important expansion beyond Respacio®'s cervical cancer indication, but also marks it as the first spacer hydrogel product successfully applied in advanced radiotherapy techniques such as SBRT, setting a new technical benchmark for precision radiotherapy in China.

In this first national application at Chongqing University Cancer Hospital, the clinical team used a minimally invasive approach to precisely inject Respacio® hydrogel into the space between the prostate and rectum prior to SBRT treatment. Upon injection, the product rapidly solidified in situ, forming a stable physical barrier that displaced the rectum posteriorly, significantly increasing the spatial distance between the tumor and rectum. This enabled the high-dose radiation zone to more concentratedly target the prostate while substantially reducing radiation dose to the rectum, fundamentally mitigating the risk of radiation-induced rectal injury. The hydrogel fully degrades within months post-procedure, eliminating the need for secondary surgical removal.

OriCell's GPC3 CAR-T Approved by NMPA for Phase II Confirmatory Trial in Late-Line Advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company and global innovative tumor immunotherapy leader OriCell recently announced that its self-developed GPC3-targeted chimeric antigen receptor autologous T-cell injection (code name: Ori-C101) has received approval from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) to enter a Phase II confirmatory clinical trial for GPC3-positive late-line advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). This study is a prospective, randomized controlled, open-label, multi-center registration clinical trial designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Ori-C101 in patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma who have failed after two or more lines of prior treatment.

According to publicly available information, this is the world's first GPC3-targeted immune cell therapy to enter a confirmatory clinical trial, and the first CAR-T therapy for liver cancer to advance to a Phase II confirmatory randomized controlled study, marking an important leap for China in solid tumor cell therapy from "following" to "leading." It also means Ori-C101 has the potential to become the world's first CAR-T drug for liver cancer treatment.

Dr. Yang Huanfeng, co-founder, chairman and CEO of OriCell, stated: "The approval of Ori-C101 to enter Phase II confirmatory clinical trials not only strongly validates the scientific rigor and feasibility of our technology platform, but also signals that OriCell has entered a new phase of growth. With the regulatory pathway now clear, we will fully advance Ori-C101's confirmatory clinical development, striving to bring new breakthrough treatment options to patients as soon as possible. We believe these developments will also provide solid support for Chinese innovative drugs to execute 'going global' strategies and compete in global markets."

This launch represents the comprehensive product-side implementation of this security system. From single products to system security, from enterprise practice to ecosystem co-building — Yunji Technology is using security as its foundation to propel the embodied intelligence industry into a new phase of "high-security trustworthiness." "Future robots must not only move, interact, and execute tasks, but also have trusted identities, clear boundaries, risk perception, and continuous protection," Li Quanyin stated. When robots become the core node connecting digital and physical worlds, security is no longer one company's moat, but the foundation for the entire industry's scaled development.
