Insilico Medicine Launches inClinico Agent for Clinical Trial Analysis and Prediction

Recently, Insilico Medicine (03696.HK), a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company and generative AI-driven clinical-stage biotech, announced the launch of inClinico Agent, enabling intelligent analysis, design, and optimization of clinical study protocols. The system implements an agent-based orchestration framework that converts natural language queries into structured, end-to-end analytical workflows. Drawing on a curated proprietary database of over 100,000 clinical trial records and two machine learning models for specific endpoints, it compresses complex clinical landscape analyses that previously took months into minutes. For specific clinical studies, the system generates a trial prediction index from 0–100, assessing the likelihood of achieving the primary endpoint.

In real-world validation against 939 clinical studies completed in 2025, inClinico Agent achieved a prediction accuracy of 0.734 and AUROC of 0.805, with Phase III trial accuracy reaching 0.780. In a prospective head-to-head evaluation against five leading frontier large language models with real-time web search enabled — all predictions locked before trial results were announced — the LLMs were broadly optimistic, predicting approximately 75%–82% of trials would succeed. In contrast, inClinico Agent predicted roughly half (50%) would succeed, closely aligning with historical success rates in the biopharmaceutical industry (53% in the test set). Related research has been published on medRxiv. inClinico Agent is now formally open to industry partners and biopharmaceutical enterprise clients.

MediLink Therapeutics Presents Phase III Registrational Data for YL201 in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma at ESMO

Recently, MediLink Therapeutics, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, announced that the Phase III registrational study TAISHAN-301 of its B7-H3-targeting antibody-drug conjugate Tam-Peli (YL201) versus chemotherapy in heavily pre-treated recurrent or metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma — following the May announcement that interim analysis met the ORR primary endpoint — presented detailed data at the ESMO congress as a late-breaking abstract oral presentation. The study randomized 431 patients previously treated with PD-(L)1 inhibitors and at least two lines of chemotherapy, with the pre-specified first 254 patients analyzed for ORR. Data showed confirmed objective response rate was significantly higher in the Tam-Peli arm versus chemotherapy (50.8% vs 25.8%; OR 2.9, P<0.0001), with disease control rates of 93.7% and 75.8%, respectively.

For safety, Grade ≥3 treatment-related adverse events occurred in 49.3% of the Tam-Peli arm versus 51.7% in the chemotherapy arm. No Grade ≥3 infusion-related reactions or interstitial lung disease — prespecified adverse events of special interest — were observed. Developed on MediLink Therapeutics' self-developed TMALIN® platform, Tam-Peli is the world's first B7-H3 ADC to achieve positive results in a Phase III randomized controlled study. Its marketing application has been formally accepted by the Center for Drug Evaluation of the National Medical Products Administration. In January, MediLink Therapeutics entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Roche for this product.
