Hongji Medical (Shenzhen Hongji Medical Technology Development Co., Ltd.) is a Chinese maker of single-use electronic endoscopes, founded in 2014 and a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company. Per Qiming's own coverage, it has built a position at the front of the single-use endoscope industry on the back of 110+ core patents, 80+ product models, 140+ global medical device licenses, sales channels in over 100 countries, and more than 90% in-house parts production . Its flagship niche is disposable ureteroscopes for minimally invasive urology — it has worked on thinner scopes, temperature/pressure control, and AI-assisted diagnosis since 2018, and its 6.3Fr ultra-thin single-use ureteroscope has drawn KOL endorsements at conferences from London's EAU26 to meetings in Mexico and Malaysia . It also set up Asia-Pacific's first RIRS Training Center in Singapore and a joint urology academy with Beijing Tsinghua Changgeng Hospital . On the funding side, Qiming reported in March 2026 that it closed Series C (solely funded by existing backer Qiming) and C+ (led by Harvest Capital, with Xiamen C&D and Sunshine Insurance following), together totaling several hundred million RMB .
