Hyperparameter (超参数科技) is a Chinese game-AI startup founded in early 2019 by Yongsheng Liu, previously general manager of Tencent AI Lab and lead of the T4 technical expert team behind Go AI "Jueyi" and Honor of Kings AI "Juewu" . The company builds AI systems for game content production, operating a platform called "Delta" that by early 2021 could orchestrate over 500,000 concurrent AI instances across cloud infrastructure and serve billions of daily API calls to players in more than 40 countries . Its early work included a 3D survival-game AI named "Orion α," developed with Seasun for the battle-royale title *Sea of Glory* .

The company has raised multiple rounds from a tight circle of top-tier investors: 5Y Capital (formerly Morningside) led its $30 million Series A+ in January 2021 and has backed every round since inception; Gaorong Ventures joined that round and continued in subsequent financings; Sequoia China led the $100 million Series B in January 2022, at which point Hyperparameter was already valued at unicorn scale . Post-B-round, the firm described its roadmap in terms of an L1-to-L4 evolution toward "living AI" and a virtual world inhabited by billions of AI agents alongside humans .
