Hyperparameter

Hyperparameter (超参数科技) is a Beijing-based game AI company founded in early 2019 by Liu Yongsheng (刘永升), former general manager of Tencent AI Lab and lead of the Go AI "Jueyi" and Honor of Kings AI "Juewu" projects . The company built the "Delta" game AI platform, which by early 2021 could orchestrate over 500,000 cores across clouds, support 500,000+ concurrent AI instances, and serve billions of daily API calls for games in more than 40 countries .

The company has raised multiple rounds from prominent Chinese VCs. Its $30 million Series A+ in January 2021 was led by 5Y Capital (formerly Morningside) with Gaorong Ventures participating , and its $100 million Series B in January 2022 was led by Sequoia China (HSG) with continued support from both 5Y and Gaorong . At the time of the Series B, Hyperparameter described its roadmap as an L1-L4 evolution toward building "Living AI" and a virtual world inhabited by billions of AI alongside humans .
