Inspirai

Inspirai (启元世界) is a decision-intelligence company founded in 2017 by Yuan Quan (袁泉), formerly a senior director at Alibaba's cognitive computing lab and founder of Taobao's recommendation algorithm team, and Long Haitao (龙海涛), previously head of Alibaba's search advertising architecture . The company positions itself as a general-AI firm building infrastructure for what it calls the "meta world" era of digital intelligence .

Its technical roots lie in deep reinforcement learning and multi-agent systems. In 2018, Inspirai won the Learning track at the NeurIPS Multi-Agent Competition, and by 2020 its "StarCraft Commander" agent had defeated top Chinese professional players in StarCraft I/II matches . The company later extended its work to robotics, winning a CVPR 2021 visual navigation challenge . In July 2021, Inspirai closed a 300 million RMB Series A round led by GGV Capital, with Gaorong Ventures—a backer since its angel round—continuing to participate .
