Linguniverse (灵宇宙) is a human-computer interaction intelligence company founded in 2023 by Gu Jiawei, a serial entrepreneur who previously led human-computer interaction at Baidu's deep learning institute and co-founded Wuling Technology, maker of the Luka picture-book reading robot that sold nearly ten million units across 18 countries . The company targets what it calls "partner-type" AI robot products for families, starting with the pocket AI terminal "Linguniverse Xiaofangji" (小方机), which topped JD.com's AI toy rankings during 2025's 618 shopping festival and saw sales surge over 230% during the subsequent Singles' Day .

Linguniverse's deeper bet is on LingOS, a proprietary operating system designed to be hardware-agnostic — injecting "AI spirituality" into different terminal forms from wearable devices to home robots, with the goal of becoming a "universal AI spirituality interface" across markets and cultures . The company raised 200 million yuan in a Pre-A series in late 2025, with investors including Guofang Innovation, Guotai Haitong, Guangfa Xinde, Didi Chuxing, and existing backers such as Linear Capital, which led its angel round .
