Sentire Endoscopic Surgical Robot

Sentire (思腾®) is the self-developed endoscopic surgical robot of Cornerstone Robotics (康诺思腾), a Chinese surgical robotics company founded in 2019 — and it's the product the company has staked everything on, iterated through nearly a hundred versions over six years, down to 500-plus drawings for a single interface . Approved by China's NMPA in September 2024 , it picked up EU CE (MDR) and Singapore HSA certifications in mid-2026 across urology, general, gynecological and thoracic surgery , and has been in routine clinical use at CUHK Medical Centre in Hong Kong since May 2025, supporting 160-plus procedures in its first year . Positioned explicitly against Intuitive's da Vinci — with a claimed 99% domestic content rate leveraging China's supply chain to cut costs — the system pairs wristed multi-function instruments with naked-eye 3D imaging, with tremor filtering and motion correction to keep the surgeon's movements stable . Its biggest milestone yet: in September 2026 Medtronic agreed to a roughly $700 million strategic investment in Cornerstone, with rights to distribute Sentire in certain approved markets outside the US .
