Speediance

Speediance (速境) is a smart home strength-fitness company founded in December 2020 by Tao Liu (刘韬), building digital-weight training equipment driven by direct-drive motors instead of physical plates, with in-house core tech in drive circuitry and control algorithms . Its first product launched on Kickstarter in late 2021 at an average price of $2,100, raising nearly $600,000 as the platform's only digital strength-training product . The company raised a ~RMB 10 million Pre-A round led by FreeS Fund in early 2022, then two consecutive rounds totaling RMB 50 million in 2023 led by Oriza Origin and Haiyi Capital, with FreeS and Rongda CVC following ; Qiming Venture Partners is also an investor . Its lineup has since expanded from the Gym Monster series — Gym Monster 2 made a Global Tech Awards FitTech list in 2025 — to the VeloNix bike and, as of August 2026, a screenless wearable called the Speediance Strap .
