Xuanze Wang

Xuanze Wang is the founder and CEO of DeepMaterial (创材深造), a Shanghai-based startup applying AI to metal materials R&D . Founded in 2021, the company embeds artificial intelligence across the full pipeline of new metal material development—from algorithmic models to high-throughput laboratories to proprietary data systems—with the aim of compressing what has traditionally been a 10-year R&D cycle down to roughly two months . Wang holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in artificial intelligence, and grew up in Anshan, Liaoning, a major steel-producing city, in what is described as a family with deep roots in materials . He has spoken publicly about the gap between domestic and foreign capabilities in high-end metal materials, particularly for applications such as aircraft engine blades, as a driving problem for the company .
