Source Code Capital's Xingshi Wang and Yungang Huang Named MVIP Young Investors of the Year and Best Digital Healthcare Investor

MVIP of the Year, Best Investor in Digital Healthcare.

Recently, Huxiu and Baize Capital jointly launched their inaugural investor ranking program, searching for MVIPs of the year and top investors by star sector. Xingshi Wang, partner at Source Code Capital, was named 2021 MVIP (Most Valuable Investment Player) for his investments in outstanding projects including Biren Technology, Ruigu, YQN Logistics, CassTime, and ZNLH. Yungang Huang, partner at Source Code Capital, was named Best Investor in the digital healthcare sector for his investments in medtech projects including Bota Biosciences, Keya Medical, Sibionics, Galixir, and METiS.

The awards jury stated: "In searching for 'most valuable investors,' we're primarily looking for two types of people. The first are the smartest and bravest 'future leaders' of the year — young investors who excel in thinking, action, and performance. We call them Most Valuable Investment Players (MVIP). The second are focused, specialized sector 'investors' — those who have long been deeply rooted in a specific innovative economy field such as consumer, enterprise services, technology, or digital healthcare, with profound industry understanding, frequent deal-making, and strong recent track records."

Wang holds a master's degree from Tsinghua University. He joined Source Code Capital in 2014, focusing on B2B growth-stage investments in industrial internet and automotive mobility. He is one of the firm's growth-stage investors. He led investments in outstanding companies including Julive, CassTime, Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI, 2015.HK), Yimi Dida, Yihang Intellitech, YQN Logistics, ZNLH, Biren Technology, and Yuanbao Inc.; and participated in investments in Meituan (3690.HK), Qudian (NYSE: QD), Ruigu, and Xiaoyaoyao.

In growth-stage investing, Wang and the growth investment team have continued to identify quality growth-stage companies and developed an investment thesis centered on "qualitative transformation" — the idea that these enterprises must not only secure top positions in their industries but also develop second growth curves.

Source Code Capital's growth-stage investments include B2B companies such as Baibu, Xiaoyaoyao, Yijiupi, CassTime, YQN Logistics, ZNLH, Edianyun, HAI ROBOTICS, Mech-Mind, Gaoding, and Biren Technology; and B2C companies such as ByteDance, Meituan (3690.HK), Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI, 2015.HK), KE Holdings (NYSE: BEKE), RELX (NYSE: RLX), Ziroom, Cloud Whale, Pagoda, Blokees, ChaYanYueSe, WANGBAOBAO, and Yuanbao Inc. Many of these companies received continuous follow-on investment from early stage through growth and beyond. Others were invested in at the growth stage after long-term deep research and understanding, with Source Code accompanying them through their "qualitative transformation."

Mr. Huang graduated from Zhejiang University with one of the nation's first master's degrees in entrepreneurship management and a bachelor's degree in management. He joined Source Code Capital in 2017. With ten years of rich investment experience, he is a senior expert in corporate strategy, organizational structure, talent recruitment, market planning, and corporate financing. He has deep understanding of how the internet and new technologies penetrate and transform various industries, specializes in the ITBT field, and has invested in Bota Biosciences, Keya Medical, Sibionics, Galixir, METiS, and Nutshell Therapeutics.
