On November 28, 36Kr released its inaugural "2018 New Economy Kings" list.

Source Code Capital was named to the Top 10 Most Influential Venture Capital Firms in China for 2018. Portfolio companies of Source Code Capital collectively won approximately 20 major awards across nearly 10 sector-specific lists, including new technology, automotive, enterprise services, real estate, consumer, entertainment, education, and the 2018 Retail Innovation Top Rankings.

Source Code Capital Named to Top 10 Most Influential Venture Capital Firms in China

2018 was dubbed the "capital winter." 36Kr called the venture firms standing by startups through the cold the "third hand." Based on 36Kr's research and platform data, the list evaluated VC firms across dimensions including number of investments, capital deployed, project engagement, and star portfolio companies. The Top 10 Most Influential Venture Capital Firms collectively invested in 548 projects in the first ten months of 2018, with total investment reaching 70.602 billion RMB.

36Kr used "scale" and "high growth potential" as baseline metrics, then conducted "dehydrated valuation" for each company based on user growth data, valuation data, and professional scoring by investors. Finally, the Top 10–20 companies with the highest "dehydrated valuation" in each sub-sector became the rightful "New Economy Kings."
