Ze'an Biopharmaceutical Closes $40 Million Series A+ Round
Ze'an Biopharmaceutical, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, recently announced it has oversubscribed its Series A+ round, raising $40 million. Since its founding in 2022, Ze'an Biopharmaceutical has raised a total of $90 million. Qiming Venture Partners participated in its Pre-A round, led its Pre-A+ round, and made a follow-on investment in its Series A.

Ze'an Biopharmaceutical focuses on unmet clinical needs in cancer, autoimmune diseases, and other major disease areas, developing novel immunotherapies based on its Myeloid Engager Platform. Proceeds from this round will primarily support Phase 1 clinical studies of its lead candidate LTZ-301, advance IND-enabling work for its second candidate LTZ-232 in pan-solid tumor indications, and fuel early-stage R&D programs and global team expansion.

Hesai Technology and KargoBot Deepen Collaboration
Hesai Technology (NASDAQ: HSAI), a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, and autonomous trucking technology company KargoBot recently announced a deepened strategic partnership. Hesai's AT1440 — the world's highest line-count, automotive-grade, mass-produced LiDAR — makes its debut on KargoBot's global first future transport robot, and is also integrated into KargoBot's mass-produced L4 autonomous truck platooning solution, helping KargoBot achieve large-scale commercial deployment of autonomous freight operations. This collaboration marks a key step forward for both parties in advancing high-level autonomous driving commercialization.

The AT1440 is powered by Hesai's fourth-generation self-developed chip, employing cutting-edge high-efficiency photosensing and ultra-high parallel processing technology to achieve ultra-long-range detection of 300 meters (at 10% reflectivity). With an angular resolution of 0.05°×0.0125°, it outputs image-grade point clouds with density exceeding current mainstream automotive LiDAR by more than 45 times, precisely identifying small obstacles in complex urban scenarios. With 360° full-scene coverage and zero blind spots, the AT1440 will serve as the core perception hardware enabling KargoBot's fully unmanned freight operations.

Zhipu AI and Shengshu Technology Form Strategic Partnership
Zhipu AI and Shengshu Technology, two Qiming Venture Partners portfolio companies, recently announced they will leverage their respective technical strengths in large language models and multimodal generative models to collaborate on joint R&D, product integration, solution bundling, and industry coordination — jointly advancing domestic large model technology innovation and industrial deployment.

StepFun and Yuanli Lingji, two Qiming Venture Partners portfolio companies, formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Both parties announced they will leverage their respective advantages to collaborate deeply around multimodal large model technology, intelligent terminal agents, and embodied intelligence scenarios — with the vision of "Reasoning in the real world" to build "RoboAgent" and jointly advance the application of artificial general intelligence (AGI) in the physical world.

Per the cooperation agreement, both parties will collaborate deeply on embodied large model algorithm R&D, multimodal data closed loops, and robotics scenario applications, jointly tackling key technical challenges for RoboAgent deployment in the physical world. Going forward, they plan to co-build a joint laboratory to accelerate technology iteration and commercial validation, and explore long-term collaboration in open-source ecosystems and vertical industries.

Biren Technology, a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company, and Kehua Data formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement — building on the fruitful results both sides have already achieved in intelligent computing center construction, computing platform development, and industry standard formulation.

Under this collaboration, Kehua Data will fully leverage its strengths in data center infrastructure products and full-lifecycle IDC services, drawing on its multiple self-built large-scale intelligent computing centers nationwide to provide robust computing scenarios for Biren Technology's general-purpose high-performance GPU products. Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Axera announced a partnership with Aptiv, a global leader in automotive and mobility technology, to collaborate on advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS). Building on existing mass-production projects, Aptiv will develop a next-generation forward-facing intelligent camera product and supporting ADAS system solution based on Axera's self-developed latest-generation high-performance, low-power ADAS chip, the M57. The solution has already secured a mass-production design win for a leading Chinese new-force OEM's Europe-bound export models.

Going forward, Axera and Aptiv will deepen their collaboration to jointly explore new technologies, products, and applications in the ADAS space. The two parties expect to expand their partnership based on Axera's series of automotive chips, working together to drive continuous upgrades in ADAS technology.

Axera Partners with STRADVISION to Build Global ADAS Solutions
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Axera formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement with STRADVISION, an industry-leading AI visual perception technology company. The two parties will leverage their respective core technical strengths to jointly develop ADAS solutions for the global automotive market.

STRADVISION will take the lead in developing on Axera's M57 series chips, adapting its highly competitive visual perception solution "SVNet" to the platform. Axera will provide comprehensive technical support and a complete toolchain. As the collaboration deepens, the two parties will also conduct adaptation development on additional Axera automotive chip platforms, aiming to provide global automakers with diversified ADAS solutions.

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Axera signed an agreement to deepen strategic cooperation with MAXIEYE (Zhijia Automotive Technology (Ningbo) Co., Ltd.). Polestones and Weiqiao Pioneering Group Formally Establish Lightweight Joint Laboratory
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Polestones and Weiqiao Pioneering Group jointly established the "Weiqiao-Polestones Automotive Lightweight Joint Laboratory" in Suzhou, Jiangsu, marking a new phase in their strategic cooperation. The laboratory's establishment not only signifies the two parties' joint push for innovation and commercialization of lightweight technology, but will also play an active role in cultivating talent for the materials and automotive fields, driving vigorous industry development.

The joint laboratory will focus on three areas — materials innovation, process upgrading, and structural design — building a full-lifecycle technical system to inject new vitality into Polestones' next-generation products. Under the joint R&D plan, the next-generation product's body aluminum content will increase to 50%, body weight will decrease by 15%, body torsional rigidity will improve by 11%, and driving range will increase by 10%. Meanwhile, the next-generation product's chassis components will incorporate world-leading anti-fatigue automotive cast aluminum alloy jointly developed by both parties.

In recent years, as Trina Solar's business has rapidly expanded, its procurement management has faced challenges including fragmented suppliers, difficult data governance, and insufficient integration of critical processes. Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals Hosts National Investigator Meetings for GZR4-T2D-301 and GZR4-T2D-303 Clinical Trials
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals (603087.SH) successfully held two national investigator meetings in Tianjin and Changsha, Hunan, focusing on Phase 3 clinical trial programs for GZR4-T2D-301 and GZR4-T2D-303 respectively. Through a hybrid online-offline format, the meetings drew over 220 clinical investigators from more than 150 hospitals nationwide to discuss R&D progress and execution strategies for the ultra-long-acting weekly insulin formulation GZR4 injection.

Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals' independently developed GZR4 injection is an ultra-long-acting weekly insulin formulation expected to provide smoother glucose-lowering effects with less day-to-day blood glucose variability. Administered via subcutaneous injection once weekly, GZR4 is anticipated to help diabetes patients overcome injection barriers, initiate insulin therapy earlier, optimize long-term diabetes management, and improve quality of life. Early clinical study results indicate that GZR4 injection reduced HbA1c in Type 2 diabetes patients comparably to or better than insulin degludec. The global development of GZR4 injection has now entered Phase 3 clinical trials.

Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals' GZR102 Injection Receives Clinical Trial Approval in China
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals (603087.SH) announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals Shandong Co., Ltd., has received implied approval from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) to conduct clinical trials for its independently developed GZR102 injection for the indication of Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

This drug is a fixed-ratio combination (FRC) weekly formulation composed of Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals' independently developed ultra-long-acting insulin GZR4 and ultra-long-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1RA) bofanglutide (GZR18). The individual components — GZR4 injection and bofanglutide injection — have both undergone adequate dose exploration in Phase 2 clinical trials for T2DM, demonstrating excellent glucose-lowering efficacy on top of favorable safety and tolerability profiles. The global development of both individual components has now advanced to Phase 3 clinical studies.

Zai Lab to Present Latest Phase 1 Clinical Data for ZL-1310 at ASCO Annual Meeting
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Zai Lab (NASDAQ: ZLAB, 09688.HK) announced that updated data from its ongoing global Phase 1a/1b clinical study (NCT06179069) will be presented in a poster session at the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting. The updated results will include data from additional patients as well as follow-up information from the ongoing ZL-1310 study in patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer (ES-SCLC) who have received at least one prior platinum-containing chemotherapy regimen.

DLL3 is an antigen overexpressed in multiple neuroendocrine tumors, including SCLC, and is typically associated with poor clinical prognosis. ZL-1310 comprises a humanized anti-DLL3 monoclonal antibody conjugated to a novel camptothecin derivative (a topoisomerase 1 inhibitor) as its payload. Designed using the novel ADC technology platform TMALIN®, which leverages the tumor microenvironment to overcome challenges encountered by first-generation ADC therapies. ZL-1310 received Orphan Drug Designation from the FDA in January 2025, underscoring recognition of its potential for treating SCLC patients.

Zai Lab's Repotrectinib sNDA Accepted and Upgraded to CSCO Category 1 Recommendation
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Zai Lab (NASDAQ: ZLAB, 09688.HK) announced that China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has accepted the supplemental new drug application (sNDA) for repotrectinib for the treatment of adult patients with solid tumors harboring neurotrophic tyrosine receptor kinase (NTRK) gene fusions, who have locally advanced, metastatic, or surgically resectable disease that would likely result in severe morbidity, and who have progressed following prior treatment or have no satisfactory alternative treatment options.

Additionally, in the 2025 Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology (CSCO) Guidelines for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer, repotrectinib has been upgraded to a Category 1 recommendation for first-line and second-line treatment of Stage IV ROS1 fusion-positive non-small cell lung cancer.

Antengene to Present Latest Clinical Research Results for ATG-037 and ATG-008 at ASCO Annual Meeting
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Antengene (06996.HK) announced it will present the latest clinical research results for its CD73 small molecule inhibitor ATG-037 and mTORC1/2 small molecule inhibitor ATG-008 in poster form at the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting.

Previously, Antengene entered into a global clinical collaboration with Merck & Co. to jointly conduct the Phase 1/1b STAMINA-01 study. The study is evaluating ATG-037 in combination with Merck & Co.'s PD-1 inhibitor KEYTRUDA® (pembrolizumab), and has achieved encouraging preliminary efficacy in anti-PD-1-resistant melanoma and non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. The dose optimization and expansion phases of this study are currently progressing smoothly in China and Australia.

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company UBTECH (09880.HK) announced it will establish Xingzhe Tiangong Robotics as a wholly-owned subsidiary in Beijing Yizhuang, responsible for the full commercialization and global sales of its Walker series, Tiangong series, and Tiangong Xingzhe (research and education edition) humanoid robots.

This follows UBTECH's earlier collaboration with the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center to launch Tiangong Xingzhe, a full-size research and education humanoid robot platform, representing another major step forward.

Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company Axera made its appearance at 2025 Shanghai International Auto Show, unveiling its globalization strategy and new generation automotive chip product M57 series under the theme "Born Extraordinary, Intelligence for the World," while reaching deep cooperation with industry partners.
The Axera M57 series achieves comprehensive performance upgrades over its predecessor: the self-developed Axera Tongyuan NPU delivers 10 TOPS of computing power with native mixed-precision support and BEV algorithm compatibility; the self-developed Axera Zhimou AI-ISP, which enables more powerful assisted driving performance, has been optimized for automotive scenarios to deliver high-definition image quality under various extreme lighting conditions, with low-latency characteristics providing reliable input for subsequent planning and control systems. Additionally, the M57 integrates an MCU with a built-in safety island, enabling ASIL-B and ASIL-D level functional safety at the chip level to meet stringent domestic and international regulatory requirements. With total parameters of 19B (7B MLLM + 12B DiT), the model features three key capabilities: precise semantic parsing, identity consistency preservation, and high-precision regional control; it supports 11 categories of high-frequency image editing tasks including text replacement, style transfer, material transformation, and portrait retouching.

Step1X-Edit marks the first deep integration of MLLM and DiT within the open-source ecosystem, achieving substantial improvements in editing precision and image fidelity. On the newly released image editing benchmark GEdit-Bench, Step1X-Edit leads all existing open-source models across semantic consistency, image quality, and composite score metrics, rivaling GPT-4o and Gemini 2.0 Flash.

Approved in China as Companion Diagnostic for Rybrevant®
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company AmoyDx (300685.SZ) had its Human 10-Gene Mutation Combined Detection Kit (reversible terminator sequencing) approved in China as a companion diagnostic for Rybrevant® (amivantamab injection), for reliable detection of EGFR exon 20 insertion mutations in non-small cell lung cancer patients to support clinical treatment decisions.

The AmoyDx Human 10-Gene Mutation Combined Detection Kit is used for qualitative detection of key oncogenic driver gene alterations in non-small cell lung cancer and colorectal cancer patients, covering ten clinically relevant genes: EGFR, ALK, ROS1, RET, KRAS, NRAS, PIK3CA, BRAF, HER2, and MET. Among these, EGFR, ALK, ROS1, and KRAS have already been approved as companion diagnostic biomarkers for multiple targeted therapies. With this new approval for the EGFR biomarker companion diagnostic indication, comprehensive tumor molecular profiling and individualized treatment strategies will be further advanced.

M20 Genomics Launches Standardized Downstream Analysis Tools
Recently, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company M20 Genomics rolled out a comprehensive upgrade to its VITAseer® software and data platform. Following the successful release of VITAbasic v1.4, M20 Genomics has now introduced two standardized downstream analysis tools: VITAprok v1.0 and VITAeuk v1.0.

By integrating its three core software components — VITAbasic, VITAprok, and VITAeuk — the VITAseer platform enables end-to-end analysis of both eukaryotic and prokaryotic single-cell transcriptomes, from raw data processing through biological pathway interpretation. WeRide Officially Launches "Wen Yuan Chu Xing" App
To better serve users across China, Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company and global autonomous driving technology leader WeRide (NASDAQ: WRD) has officially rebranded its mobility app from "WeRide Go" to "Wen Yuan Chu Xing" (文远出行), making it easier to discover and download. The updated app also debuts a new "scheduled ride" feature. Users can now search for and download "Wen Yuan Chu Xing" across major app stores to hail WeRide Robotaxi autonomous rides with a single tap, while also accessing real-time information on WeRide Robobus operations.
Currently, WeRide Robotaxi services cover Beijing Yizhuang and Guangzhou Huangpu. WeRide Robobus routes include: in Beijing, a shuttle between the P12 parking lot at Urban Green Heart Forest Park and Beijing City Library, plus a route between Haojiafu subway station and Beijing City Library; in Guangzhou, the Bio Island South Line and Autonomous Mobility Line 1; and in Nanjing, a holiday sightseeing tour and an Ecotech Island campus shuttle, among others.
Beyond its self-operated mobility platform, WeRide also partners with local operators worldwide to deliver Robotaxi and Robobus services.

This marks the first-ever new-energy heavy-duty truck delivery ceremony in China's express delivery industry — a milestone with significant symbolic importance.
As a leading "new force" in the truck industry, DeepWay pioneered the integrated battery-chassis design, increasing cargo box volume by 9.6% and payload per trip by 1.3 tons compared to conventional "fuel-to-electric" conversions, substantially meeting the express industry's demand for large-volume cargo capacity. The distributed drive design achieves energy consumption as low as 1.15 kWh per kilometer in this delivery batch while ensuring extended range to effectively cover high-frequency, medium-to-long-haul intercity transport. Additionally, the vehicles feature dual thermal management systems and L2-level advanced driver-assistance systems, enabling stable operation from -30°C to 45°C, enhancing driving safety and battery stability — earning broad user recognition.

Fushoukang Hosts Shanghai's First Targeted Domestic Services Training Program
Recently, Shanghai's first targeted training program for domestic services — the Hongkou District "Skills Light the Way Forward" initiative — held its completion ceremony. DeepWise Founder Linfeng Zhang Wins Beijing Science and Technology Award — Outstanding Young Zhongguancun Award
The Beijing Science and Technology Awards were recently announced, honoring outstanding individuals and organizations in the scientific community. Linfeng Zhang, founder and chief scientist of Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company DeepWise and president of the AI for Science Institute, Beijing, received the 2024 Outstanding Young Zhongguancun Award, underscoring the tremendous potential of AI for Science.

Zhang has dedicated his career to interdisciplinary research at the intersection of AI and science, with extensive contributions in machine learning, computational physics and chemistry, and materials and drug design. His work has repeatedly pushed disciplinary boundaries, establishing him as a leading figure in the AI-science convergence. He led the development of the Deep Potential (DeePMD) algorithm, which accelerated molecular dynamics simulations by a factor of 1,000 and solved the "curse of dimensionality" that plagued traditional quantum mechanical calculations — winning the Gordon Bell Prize in 2020, the highest honor in high-performance computing. Nature hailed this achievement as "a milestone in computational science," and it was selected among China's Top 10 Scientific Advances. To date, Zhang has published nearly 100 papers in top-tier journals including Nature and Science, with cumulative citations exceeding 10,000, and has been named to Stanford's World's Top 2% Scientists list for three consecutive years. In March 2025, Zhang and collaborators released Uni-3DAR, a framework that unifies 3D structure generation and understanding through autoregressive next-token prediction. Uni-3DAR uses autoregression to unify the micro and macro 3D worlds, outperforming diffusion models by 256% with 21.8× faster inference — the world's first scientific foundation model of its kind.
