Hero Games

Hero Games is a Chinese game company best known as the first and, for a time, sole outside investor in Game Science, the developer of *Black Myth: Wukong*. In 2017 it provided a RMB 60 million angel round for a 20% stake, and later put at least another RMB 100 million into the project . By the time Tencent invested in 2021, Hero Games remained Game Science's largest external shareholder . The relationship eventually shifted: Hero Games sold its Game Science stake for RMB 480 million in 2022, according to its annual report . Wu Dan (吴旦), also known as Daniel, served as Hero Games' president during the original investment and was the deal's architect . The company also appears as a recurring name in ZhenFund's portfolio updates, suggesting ongoing ties to that venture firm .
