BAIC Group

BAIC Group is a Chinese state-owned automotive conglomerate that has become a notable partner in the autonomous-vehicle and new-energy supply chain. In February 2023 it signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Horizon Robotics to deepen collaboration on intelligent driving , and it was cited as one of China's two largest NEV sellers back in 2018, when it moved roughly 100,000 units alongside BYD . More recently the group has supplied vehicles to Pony.ai's Robotaxi fleet: it co-developed a seventh-generation Robotaxi model with Pony.ai that was unveiled in April 2025 , and in January 2026 Pony.ai and BAIC New Energy announced a "2.0" phase of their partnership focused on L4-scale mass production and commercial operation .
