BioGeometry

BioGeometry is a generative-AI protein-design company founded in 2022 by Jian Tang, then an associate professor at Mila, the Quebec AI Institute . It builds geometric deep-learning and deep-generative models to accelerate macromolecular drug discovery and, more broadly, bio-manufacturing .

The company emerged with a $10 million angel round in September 2022, exclusively led by Gaorong Ventures, and released TorchProtein, an open-source machine-learning platform for macromolecular drug R&D . Gaorong continued to back it in a June 2024 Pre-A round led by The Jiangmen, with Zhipu AI and Shengjingjiacheng also joining .

BioGeometry's flagship technical asset is GeoFlow, a generative AI model for protein design. A 2024 Gaorong article noted GeoFlow matched AlphaFold3's performance on antigen-antibody complex structure prediction, calling it the industry's first generative macromolecular design model to approach that benchmark . By late 2025 the company had advanced to GeoFlow V3, which introduced multi-step reasoning to mimic natural antibody affinity maturation and reportedly cut lead-molecule discovery time to under three weeks with wet-lab hit rates averaging 15.5% .

Beyond its own pipeline, BioGeometry licenses its GeoBiologics platform to domestic and foreign pharmaceutical firms and has struck partnerships along the bio-manufacturing chain—including with Alibaba Cloud, Sanysbio, and others—to deploy generative AI in protein and antibody drug development .
