Microsoft Asia Engineering Institute

Microsoft Asia Engineering Institute (微软亚洲工程院, ATC) was a research-to-product organization within Microsoft's China operations, founded in 2003 by Hongjiang Zhang, who also served as its president . Zhang, one of the original founders of Microsoft Research Asia, established the institute to bridge technology innovation, product development, and research commercialization . He later became Chief Technology Officer of Microsoft Asia Pacific R&D Group while continuing to lead the Engineering Institute .
