Moore Threads is a Beijing-based GPU chip design company founded in 2020 that went public on the Shanghai STAR Market in December 2025 as China's first listed full-function GPU enterprise . The company focuses on developing original, self-owned intellectual property GPU chips to build China's computing acceleration platform, with a product line centered on full-function GPUs for AI training and inference .

5Y Capital backed the company from its angel round through Series A, participating in four consecutive funding rounds starting in 2020 . The firm co-led a later funding round alongside Shanghai Guosheng Capital and Bohai Zhongsheng Fund . Other investors included Deep Ventures, Sequoia Capital China, GGV Capital, and ByteDance, among others .

As of late 2025, Moore Threads had achieved scaled delivery of 10,000-card clusters for mainstream large model training and inference, placing it in what 5Y Capital partner Zhang Fei described as a critical stage of ecosystem construction for the domestic computing infrastructure .
