Proto-Sentient Intelligence

Proto-Sentient Intelligence, also known as 灵初智能 (Lingchu Intelligence), is a Chinese embodied intelligence company building general-purpose robotic models through reinforcement learning and VLA (Vision-Language-Action) architectures. Founded with a research lab co-established with Peking University , the company has BlueRun Ventures as its seed and Series A lead investor, with Hillhouse also participating in the first round .

Its flagship model, Psi R0, launched in late 2024 as the first end-to-end reinforcement learning embodied model capable of dual dexterous-hand coordination and cross-object, cross-scene generalization . By mid-2025, the company had advanced to Psi R1, deployed in scenarios such as playing cards with human opponents . In April 2026, Proto-Sentient Intelligence announced ecosystem partnerships with Tencent Cloud, TikTok (Douyin), and others , positioning itself among the small set of Chinese embodied-AI firms that BlueRun counts as early, systematic bets alongside players like Zhiyuan Robotics and Galaxy General .
