BAI Capital is a venture capital fund founded and managed by Long Yu, who serves as its founding and managing partner . The firm has built a notable track record in fintech, having invested in over 20 companies in the sector since 2014, with more than half becoming segment leaders, 10 reaching scale profitability, and 7 achieving unicorn status or going public .

The fund is particularly recognized for its early and sustained bet on Mexico. Partner William Zhao emerged as one of the most frequent China-based investors flying to the country, leading BAI to invest in seven Mexican companies including Stori, a digital bank where BAI first led the A+ round in 2020 and continued to lead or co-lead every subsequent round , and TruBit, a crypto exchange . BAI's thesis centers on exporting China's leading fintech capabilities to emerging markets, operating on the conviction that no fintech model in these markets has not already appeared in China .
