Manifold Tech (留形科技) is a startup co-founded by Aaron Qin (秦佑铭) and Dr. Xu Wei (徐威), both PhD graduates of HKU's MaRS Lab . The company builds spatial perception technology for general-purpose embodied intelligence — Qin has described its mission as giving every mobile robot a "hippocampus" . Qin first gained notice in 2017 when, as an undergraduate at Virginia Tech, he led a team to the RoboMaster finals — one of only two North American teams to reach that stage .
