Qitan Technology

Qitan Technology (齐碳科技) is a Chinese nanopore gene sequencing company developing domestic alternatives to imported platforms. Founded by a team including chairman Geng Hu, co-founder and chief scientist Jingwei Bai, and co-founder Dan Xie, the company has raised multiple rounds from top-tier investors: Gaorong Ventures led its Series A in 2020, followed by a roughly RMB 400 million Series B in mid-2021 co-led by Hillhouse Venture Capital and CDH Investments' VGC fund, and a RMB 700 million Series C in late 2022 led by Meituan with continued backing from Huagai Capital and Boyuan Capital .
