Shize Biotech (士泽生物) is an iPSC-derived cell therapy company founded in 2021 by Dr. Li Xiang, who returned to China full-time to start it and serves as CEO and CSO . It develops clinical-grade, allogeneic "off-the-shelf" iPSC-derived neural cell drugs for major CNS diseases — Parkinson's chief among them — with its lead candidate XS411 (an iPSC-derived dopaminergic neural precursor cell injection) having completed enrollment in a nationwide multi-center Phase II registrational trial for primary Parkinson's and finished dosing in a Phase I trial for MSA-P . Per FreeS Fund, which led its angel round, the company has secured seven registrational trial approvals from both China's NMPA and the US FDA, with multiple pipelines already in clinical stages in both countries .
