Qianli Technology

Qianli Technology is the vehicle Qi Yin — the Megvii co-founder who launched it as a student startup back in 2011 — built after leaving facial recognition behind; he serves as its chairman, in charge of overall strategy and transformation. Positioned as a "large models on wheels" company, its strategy is explicitly not to build cars in isolation but to partner with industry giants: it formed the joint venture "Qianli Zhijia" with Geely Auto, aiming to build an open platform for the whole industry, with its 1.0 smart-driving solution already shipping on multiple Geely models and L3/L4 versions planned. On the model side it works closely with StepFun — the three parties announced a deepened "AI + car" partnership in February 2025, later co-launching the industry's first AgentOS smart cockpit with an end-to-end voice model and, by April 2026, a comprehensive strategic partnership around a jointly built foundation model for physical AI and embodied intelligence.
