Anna Fang

Anna Fang (方爱之) is the founding partner and CEO of ZhenFund (真格基金), a prominent Chinese venture capital firm. She is described as the more grounded counterweight to ZhenFund co-founder Xu Xiaoping's romantic style — the one who once insisted on codifying people-assessment into formal rules, earning her the nickname "Zhen Mama" (真妈, "True Mom") within the firm .

Her investment track record includes what she called ZhenFund's "most wonderful" deal: an early bet on Horizon Robotics in 2015–2016, initiated after a chance meeting with founder Yu Kai during a Future Science Prize office visit . In late 2025, she was personally involved in supporting ZhenFund's portfolio company Manus, reportedly bringing barbecue and beer to the team's office while they cold-emailed Silicon Valley figures to try the product . She frames her investment philosophy around non-consensus thinking, telling 暗涌Waves in late 2024 that "being non-consensus and right is the path with the highest odds of achieving a breakthrough" .
