Flexiv

Flexiv (非夕科技) is a general-purpose intelligent robotics company founded in 2016 by Wang Shiquan and fellow Stanford robotics and AI lab alumni; Wang remains founder and CEO, with professor Lu Cewu as chief AI scientist . Its core product line is "adaptive robots" that fuse industrial-grade force control with hierarchical AI — beginning with Rizon, the first adaptive robotic arm unveiled at Hannover Messe in April 2019 — which Gaorong's Yue Bin praised as a rare 0-to-1 new arm design with precise force control applicable across automotive, 3C manufacturing and agriculture . The company has since built what it calls a "general-purpose intelligence foundation platform," with products deployed across mobility, electronics, general industry, food and beverage, commercial services and biomedicine . On the funding side, Gaorong led its 2017 round and kept adding, ZhenFund joined the 2017 A round, a Series B of over $100 million closed in late 2020 (reportedly the largest single round in general-purpose robotics at the time, with Meituan, Yunfeng and others participating), a Series C of over $100 million followed in 2025, and most recently, per ZhenFund, a new round led by Invus closed in March 2026 . It has also strategically incubated the embodied-intelligence startup Noematrix, founded in 2023 .
