Mindverse

Mindverse (心洲科技, also known as 心识宇宙) is an AI startup founded by Tao Fangbo, a former Microsoft Research and Facebook Research scientist, in early 2022 . The company has raised nearly $100 million across multiple rounds, with investors including Linear Capital (angel round), Sequoia China (HSG), Ant Group, and ZhenFund, which led its pre-A and continued through its $50 million Series A led by Meituan in June 2026 .

Mindverse's core bet is on "Personal Intelligence"—using LoRA (Low-Rank Adaptation) to give every user their own continuously learning model rather than relying on a single general-purpose system . It has built a trillion-parameter LoRA reinforcement learning platform, and per its own claims is one of only two teams globally capable of running hundreds of trillion-parameter LoRA reinforcement learning instances simultaneously, alongside OpenAI former CTO Mira Murati's Thinking Machines Lab .

Its consumer product Macaron AI, launched in August 2025, has surpassed 5 million users and hosts over 300,000 user-created mini-apps, with the company targeting customized models for hundreds of thousands of users by Q2 2026 . The team of roughly 30 draws from DeepSeek, OpenAI, ByteDance, MIT, and Tsinghua's Yao Class . Mindverse also maintains technical partnerships with Microsoft, Alibaba, ByteDance, Ant Group, Huawei, and NVIDIA .
