Xi Wang

Xi Wang (曦望/Sunrise) is a Chinese AI inference GPU company that spun out of SenseTime's large-chip division at the end of 2024 to operate independently , positioning itself as a fully self-developed, full-stack inference computing play. Its rise has been fast: by April 2026 it had closed a new 1 billion RMB round — its seventh in just over a year of independence — bringing total funding to roughly 4 billion RMB and making it, per Gaorong Ventures, China's first pure-inference-GPU unicorn valued above 10 billion RMB, with Gaorong itself investing in early 2026 and adding in later rounds ; Heart Capital also backed it in 2025 . In January 2026 it unveiled its next-generation inference GPU, the Qiwang S3, alongside a strategic research partnership with Zhejiang University, a "million tokens for a penny" initiative launched with SenseTime and 4Paradigm, and a compute-for-the-real-economy tie-up with SANY Heavy Industry and GCL Technology ; by mid-2026 it had also completed hardware-level adaptation of Moonshot AI's Mooncake, among the first domestic GPU makers to do so . SenseTime chairman Xu Li has framed the relationship as complementary — Xi Wang's inference GPU "fills a gap" in SenseTime's three-in-one AI strategy, physically cutting inference costs .
