Tashi Zhihang

Tashi Zhihang (它石智航, TARS) is an AI-driven embodied intelligence startup founded on February 5, 2025 by Chen Yilun, Li Zhenyu (former president of Baidu's Intelligent Driving Group), and Ding Wenchao (a former Huawei "genius youth" recruit), with a mission to build trustworthy super embodied intelligence systems that scale physical-world AI and general-purpose robotics into production and daily life . In March 2025 the company announced a $120 million angel round — then China's largest in embodied intelligence — co-led by BlueRun Ventures and Qiming Venture Partners, with Linear Capital among the followers ; four months later it closed a $122 million angel+ round led by Meituan's strategic investment arm, with Linear Capital doubling down . Linear Capital founder Harry Wang, who met the team in December 2024, described them as "the strongest dream team in embodied intelligence" and noted their ability to combine Huawei-honed autonomous-driving hardware-software experience with large-model reasoning for robotics . The company has since released WIYH (World In Your Hands), which it calls the world's first scalable real-world embodied multimodal VLTA dataset, and opened it to the community in late 2025 .
