Harry Wang

Harry Wang (王淮) is the founder and CEO of Linear Capital, an early-stage Chinese VC firm focused on frontier technology and industrial applications. Before starting the fund in 2014, he was Facebook's second Chinese engineer and first Chinese R&D manager, where he worked on News Feed backend, Social Ads, and payment security infrastructure — experience he later chronicled in a bestselling book, *Building up Facebook* . He holds an MS&E degree from Stanford and a computer science bachelor's from Zhejiang University, and has been recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum .

Under his leadership, Linear Capital has grown to roughly $2 billion in assets under management across ten funds, with a portfolio of over 120 companies including Horizon Robotics, Kujiale (Cooljiale), and Rokid, collectively valued at approximately $20 billion . Wang has maintained a hands-on, long-horizon approach to early-stage investing: his 2011 angel check to Kujiale's Huang Xiaohuang, made when the founder was still an individual angel investor, reportedly returned over 1,000x by the company's 2025 IPO .
