Under his leadership Qiming has grown to 11 USD funds and 7 RMB funds totaling US$9.5 billion under management, focused on early- and growth-stage technology and healthcare companies, with over 580 portfolio companies, 210-plus exits via IPO or M&A, and more than 80 unicorns. He remains the firm's public voice on the AI cycle — in 2025 he argued Chinese AI investment was not overheated and should attract global capital, and by mid-2026 his framing had shifted to "embracing and riding through the cycle," casting AI as an exceptionally long technology cycle.
