UBTECH (优必选, SEHK: 09880) is a Chinese humanoid robotics company and a Qiming Venture Partners portfolio company since 2015 . It has positioned itself as an industrial application leader: its Walker S series robots are deployed in more automotive factories worldwide than any other humanoid robot, with partners including BYD, Geely, Foxconn, and SF Express . In March 2025, UBTECH conducted what Qiming described as the world's first multi-robot, multi-scenario, multi-task humanoid collaborative training at ZEEKR's 5G Intelligent Factory, moving from single-agent autonomy toward swarm intelligence .
The company is also a founding member and general manager unit of the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, established in late 2023, where it contributed R&D staff and opened over 300 patents to help develop the "Tiangong" general-purpose robot platform . In March 2025, it jointly launched the "Tiangong Xingzhe" full-size research and education humanoid with the center . Its technical stack incorporates DeepSeek-R1-based reasoning models to equip robots with human-like commonsense reasoning .
